Somethings wrong. And it's not the heart beating in my chest now. That's the least of my worries. Do you know that feeling of dread that hits you low in the stomach? Like a ball of lava that boils and rolls in a heated mess? That's the feeling I have at the moment. My heart beating is new, but it's not good. Something isn't right.Kol told me about Elijah and Finn both having heartbeats. Caroline and Katherine do as well. We have yet to hear from Rebekah.
Kai had said it was probably just a sign of growth. Since waking up in the real world, I had grown quite a bit. I had...I was developing...feelings. And apparently Kol and Kai already knew that. They just didn't want to scare me off.
But something wasn't right. I was still a vampire. Still drank blood. But my body was tingly. Not in the warm feeling kind of way. More in the way of how I felt when I was in the cave. Like my body was numb. Dead.
"Darlin'?" I snapped my eyes up to see Kol looking at me in concern. We were currently back at the Mikaelson mansion that was technically Klaus'. But he had kept his mouth shut when we came back. His glare on me as he went out for the day. Of course, I made a joke of how he needed his daily walk and offered to get him a leash.
"I'm fine." I told Kol. But neither of us believed me. Kai was sitting on a sofa across from me, his eyes looking over to me from a book he was reading. Not just any book, but the grimoire from his old coven.
"Your hands are bothering you." Kai pointed out. I looked down at my hands that were resting on a book of my own. The Bible. The original. My hands were shaking slightly. Fingers curled naturally. I grabbed my left hand, massaging at my fingers to stop the small tremor. Looking up, I saw Kol and Kai both staring at me intently.
"Talk to us." Kol urged. His brown eyes soft. I shrugged my shoulders at him, squeezing my hands.
"There's nothing to talk about." I told him a bit snappy. I didn't mean to be. "My heart began beating a day ago and now my hands are trembling like a puny human." I tried to lighten the mood by joking about humans, but the guys didn't say anything about it, glancing to one another.
"Do you think this could be a way that your father is trying to reign you in?" Kai questioned. His eyes glancing to the book on his lap. "It's something my father would have tried." He shrugged. I stayed silent for a moment before a snort left my lips causing the two to look at me curiously.
"Sorry. I just realized we all have daddy issues." I joked, trying to pull the attention off of my problems. Kol shook his head laughing. Kai sucked his lips into his mouth and shook his head at me before looking at me all serious. Who would have thought the younger one would be the most serious? I sighed. "God was painted to look like this all mighty man who could do whatever he wished." I explained, pressing against my fingers. "But in reality, he has little to no power. Just an over imaginative man who painted a picture and snapped his fingers to make it real."
"Are you saying God didn't create the universe?" Kol questioned, leaning onto his knees in interest.
"He was apart of it. The man honcho behind the picture. But no. He did not do this alone." Kai and Kol shared a look of interest. I closed my eyes, taking a breath. He was going to kill me for telling his secret. "I helped him." I admitted. Kai clapped his hands in like a giddy way, showing how excited he was to learn this. Kol raised his eyebrow, waiting for more. "The story of Adam and Eve happened before the world was created in seven days. I was always the witch. The Original." I added, looking to Kol who laughed softly. "God had the power of life. He was able to create two beings so he was never alone. But then- he abandoned us. Forcing me to make his vision become reality so we could create our own place."
"So God made you so he wouldn't be lonely?" Kai questioned, his eyes lit up at this new information.
"God was originally cursed by Zeus. To always be alone. But Zeus' wife Hera felt bad for him." I waved my hands around. "It's a long and complicated story, I don't wish to get into." I huffed. I hated telling the real story of my creator. I hated the man himself.
"So that's why you can feel the Earth spinning." Kol stated, looking at me in a whole new light. I looked at him and nodded.
"Essentially." I shrugged. Kai was laughing. He thought this was the best thing ever.
"So God is powerless." He stated, testing the sound of it. I shrugged. My hands becoming stiff feeling. Glancing down, I noticed the start of what seemed to be black creeping up my fingers. My eyes looked up to see Kol already looking at my hands.
"Enough, Kai. We have bigger problems." Kol demanded as he got up and moved to sit by me. His hands grabbing mine gently before feeling my fingers.
"Looks like trouble in paradise." I looked up to see Klaus had come back. But not alone. Adam stood behind him, his eyes on my hands. Kol let out a growl at his brother and Adam. Kai moving to stand near us. As if I needed the protection. I arched my brow at the two of them.
"What is it, Klaus? Couldn't find your balls so you tried to find someone else?" I questioned causing the wolf to growl at me. "Sorry to say, I've seen Adam's....not much there."
"Might want to play nice to the people who can help you." Klaus growled only to be shushed by Adam who walked him in the back of his head.
"We're helping her no matter what she says." Adam decided before moving to step towards me. Kai growled at him along with Kol. "Call off your guard dogs, Eve. You know I'm only here to help."
"Help? By sending God after me? For all I know, you are behind this as well. Came to drag me by my hair to the Garden? Perhaps try to have your way with me behind Eva's back?" I snapped through my teeth. Adam looked at me almost confused.
"Eva is dead."
