Genya picked up another tree and flung it toward the demon whilst yelling, "Just die already! Come on! Get a clue!" Nezuko chased right behind the trees and saw the tiny demon. Nezuko swiped at the demon but missed because the demon ran off. Genya yells out, "He's so fast! What's up with him? I can't keep up!" Out of nowhere, Tanjiro crashed into a tree right beside Nezuko. Nezuko gasped as Tanjiro got up and asked, "Did you find the main body yet, Genya?" Genya says, "We have! But the little shit keeps running off! He took off somewhere that way!" Tanjiro thought hard about his next move. It was either let Mitsuri by herself and kill the demon by himself or stay with Mitsuri and let Genya kill it. He then thought about how Mitsuri looked as if she holding her own right now. He didn't want to risk it. He said, "Just chase the demon and I'll be right back." Both Genya and Nezuko took off to the demon while Tanjiro went back to the battle with Mitsuri and Zouhakoten. He arrived and slashed some tree demons that tried to bite him. He said, "Kanroji-san, do you think you'll be able to hold your own?" Mitsuri says, "I'll try my best. But may I ask why?" Tanjiro used,

"Hinokami Kagura, Burning Bones, Summer Sun!"

He also answered her, "I want to go with Genya and Nezuko to decapitate the main body of this demon!" I want to decapitate it because I don't think Genya is strong enough!" Mitsuri hopped onto a tree dragon's neck and back flipped over another while slashing it. She says, "If you think that then it's best you should be the one to defeat the demon!" Tanjiro said, "All right then. I'll head to the two now." He disappears leaving Mitsuri to handle the demon by herself. She was confident that she could hold the demon back long enough while the other three kill the demon.

- Back With Nezuko and Genya -
Nezuko and Genya were in hot pursuit of the fifth and main body of the demon that helped with the terror on the Swordsmith Village. Tanjiro then appeared behind Nezuko, who gave her a start. Tanjiro laughed and apologized to her sibling but looked back at the demon. He said, "This blow will finish this demon." He exhaled and stood still before using,

"Flame Breathing, First Form: Unknowing Fire!"

Genya and Nezuko were also shocked at Tanjiro's speed. He reached the demon in under a second and slashed the demon's head. This time, instead of it coming clean off, the blade was lodged inside the neck of the demon. Tanjiro, now feeling drained, thought, "What the? Why isn't-" The demon shakily asks, "Don't... you... feel sorry... for me?" The demon then grew larger and grabs Tanjiro's face while crushing him. He also yells, "You shouldn't pick on... the weak!" Tanjiro begins to bleed from the nose but was saved by Genya, who tried his best to keep the fingers from crushing Tanjiro. Genya yells, "Enough with your excuses! You fool!" Tanjiro begins to think about how he exerted his strength in the Yoshiwara District. He thought, "Just like when I went against those two, I use too much strength when I use this technique. I probably used too much strength fighting the other demon with Kanroji-san." Nezuko also saved Tanjiro by jumping over the large demon and burning him. The demon wails as he is burned by the flames of Nezuko's Blood Demon Art. This weakened the demon which allowed Tanjiro and Genya to open up the demon's hands. They were able to open the demon's hands but Genya straight up ripped the demon's arms from its body. Genya tried to cover himself from Nezuko's flames while thinking, "Oh no! I'll get burned too because I ate demon flesh!" A cliff threw the demon off balance and Nezuko and Tanjiro fell along with it. A loud bang was heard and Genya got up and looked down the cliff while yelling, "Tanjiro! Nezuko!" Down the cliff, the demon coughed as it thought, "This is bad! My regeneration is slowing down! Zouhakoten is using too much strength. I must replenish it with human flesh! Humans are nearby... I feel it! Yes, I will!" The demon then heard Tanjiro yell, "Stop!" Tanjiro was caught inside a branch that stuck out of the cliff. Tanjiro looked furious as he said, "I won't let you get away! You can run to the depths of hell, but I'll follow you! And I'll... cut off your head!" Tanjiro struggled to free himself from the branch because of how drained he felt. The demon looked forward and saw two swordsmiths ahead of him. He thought, "One of these three kids is a demon! What a pain! It's always something! That kid's sword got stuck in my neck but it didn't cut through! First, I'll power up by eating those humans! Hurry! Do it quickly! One more time!" Tanjiro yells as he rips his arm free from the branch, destroying it. He then drops to the ground and chases the demon while thinking, "If I'm drained, then I'll just use what strength I have left and kill this demon right here!" He was then cut off by a sword landing in front of him. Tanjiro was surprised and thought, "A sword?" He then heard, "Use it!" He looked up the cliff and saw Muichiro. Muichiro, who was being strangled by a furious Haganezuka, adds, "Use that blade, Tanjiro!" Haganezuka yells, "Knock it off! I'll kill you! Don't use it! It's only been sharpened to the first stage!" Muichiro says, "But dawn is near! He'll get away!" Haganezuka slaps Muichiro and says, "Stupid brat!" Tanjiro grabs the blade and thought, "Thanks, Tokito-kun!" Tanjiro then dashed forward while using,

"Hinokami Kagura, Dance!"

Chapter 104: End

The third has now been dropped. The reason I did three in a small timeframe is that I suddenly felt a surge of motivation.

I'm thinking of adding an OC Upper-Rank demon that has the sole mission of defeating Tanjiro. If I do, I'll add a short chapter that includes a story explaining why.

1: Tanjiro wants to train to master the transformation that makes him stronger.
2: Tanjiro has no idea what to name the transformation (Please remind me if Tanjiro ever named the transformation before, I'm a bit forgetful 😆).
