We live in a planet Earth, the planet that currently considered as the only planet that has a life on it. The population on this planet reached 7-8 billions around the world, yes. That's everyone from America to Asia.

Peoples are different from various place, city and country. They have different skin tone, lifestyle, religion, wealth and many more. And these peoples have different background and environment. Heck, even they have different childhood. Someone out there having their childhood swearing on Modern Warfare 2 lobbies in their Xbox, playing flash games, hanging out with their friends in neighborhood and also there's one who having very traumatizing childhood that they don't want to talk about it and leaving huge scar on their memories.

In this planet Earth, every human is different, even though they have same skin tones like you, they have different childhood, favorite foods or even stuff they like to do in their free times, and some of them, disliking video games. Sometimes, you'll meet with someone who has same interest such as Sci-Fi books, Dungeon and Dragons, cartoon and many more, but they have different opinions on certain thing and most of the time, doesn't align with your belief and opinion you always held, and that's ok.

Unfortunately, in this era of the modern world, everyone tends to be more aggresive towards anyone who doesn't have same opinion and belief like them, this is very common in west country and digital media alike.

But today, i'm gonna talk about how this blog related to the creativity and how this thing affect your  own novel, cartoons, games, etc.

Have you seen these pattern that always appears on the entertainment media? Yes, i'm talking about western comics, video games, movies, cartoon etc. It looks so different than what we usually have about decades ago.

No, it's not about the new franchise we talking about, i'm talking about those franchise that has already existed long time ago, even before all of us born. And those franchise compared to modern one, has a solid fanbase.

But it seems corporation who held those intellectual property of the franchise decided creating most horrendous modern adaptation that eventually making the core fanbase ended up hating on it. Why would they do that? Money, other side of the society and finding new fans.

Corporation thinking is a good idea to do such thing, they even watered down some material just because the most toxic social media told them so and doesn't want to hurt their "potentional customers" feelings, so. Yeah, corporation decided to gamble fans favorite franchise to get attention from all type of people all around the world. But these peoples forget about something important.

Not all people gonna like it.

While they sacrificing franchise from the old day, they forget that not all peoples would buy their modern adaptation stuff, if so. Those so-called "potentional customers" ended up hating on it as well, with a sprinkle of buzzword of course.

So, what does it have to do when it comes to making our own entertainment media?

Never listen to those who isn't the fan of your stuff, it's ok. There's gonna be peoples who dislike your work with or without reason, and the worse part is, someone giving you "criticism" with hatred tone and buzzword sprinkled over the words by words.

Should you listen to these peoples? Heck no! This is one of the reason why modern entertainment media, especially with adaptation of old franchise. Majority tend to be sucked. I don't need giving the examples what franchise that has go down in this road.

Sure, when it comes to looking for feedback and criticism, the most important thing that you have to acknowledge is, are these feedback and critic comes from the core fanbase or just from the outsider that doesn't have any idea about your project for the longest time, plus are the outsiders usually putting their times on social media to complaining over minuscule thing?

That's a normal thing to have peoples who dislike your stuff and you shouldn't put your energy, time, and resource to sastify those peoples, they won't be impressed at all. Keep that in mind.

And worse of all, you sacrifice your dignity and fanbase just to selling out your hard work just to satisfy the outsiders and those who proclaimed as the hollier than thou mentality folks. In the end, you lose.

Do not ever gamble everything that you have work for just because you want to make money, the chances you winning were 0%

This is might be a reminder to myself to not following what peoples wanted, especially those terminally online people.

Never. Listen. To. Them!

100% guarantee fell off if you eventually listen to these type of people instead those who has deep love with your work.

Before that, do we have to listen to our fans?

Sometime yes, sometime don't

This advice still applicable to this as well, you don't have to agree on everything your fan to say. You'll be overwhelmed by the fans word. Just choose which one that could worked and really improved your stuff.

I wanted to put story about the father and his son along with the donkey. The story really fits well with this narrative.

I guess that's all, good luck creating your stuff in the future.
