Into You

Klaus snakes a hand around my waist as we walk side by side into the compound. As expected yesterday Nik waited for my call so he could bring me back to New Orleans. Rebekah waited with him but didn't seem one bit happy for my decision.

Oh, and I think I forgot to tell you! Earlier this morning Nik decided to let Thierry out of his sentence. Why? Well, I don't know but something tells me I'm about to.

"Dearest brethren, your attention, please." All heads turn to look at Klaus and confusing takes over their expression when they see Thierry standing right by our side. "No doubt, you're all surprised to see Thierry Vanchure, who's supposed to be rotting in the Garden for the crime of killing one of our own, and I personally decided to issue him with a pardon. I hope you'll all welcome home Thierry." Nik announces making Thierry smile and walk over to Diego, giving him a hug.

Marcel laughs slightly, a suspicious look on his face. "You're in a good mood. You should visit Mystic Falls more often."

"Well, I don't need to anymore. And I have pressing responsibilities here." Klaus smirks at me before turning to the crowd of vampires. "Now, as you all know, the witch Davina is no longer with us. Without Davina, we can no longer monitor the activity of our witch neighbors. However, since their Harvest failed, their magic will soon be gone forever. Until then, I say we keep them on their toes. Diego, I wonder if you might lead a rousting in the cauldron." I roll my eyes at his words but Diego simply smiles and starts to plan with the other vampires their attack on the witches.

"Unbelievable." Marcel mumbles, angrily grabbing a bottle of bourbon that was in front of him and is quick to storm away from the compound, but Nik stops him in the doorway.

"Marcel, I'd hoped you would join Diego." Nik comments.

"Nah. I'm gonna take a personal day." He brushes past Klaus, making him become annoyed by his attitude.

"Don't worry, he'll come around." I kiss his cheek, which makes him give me a cheeky smile. Klaus walks away from me, going to talk to Diego about his plans to attack the witches.

I walk around the compound, seeing the paintings around it and it makes me realise how old the compound actually is but still looks like it was built just a few years ago. I see a room with a door open, making me curious to who is there.

I enter the room of the compound just to find Marcel, still drinking alone, sitting on a couch and looking like he just gone through a massive break up.

"Is this your idea of a personal day?"

Marcel turns his head to look at me. "Well, I'm alone which makes it personal, plus Klaus is the king now and you two seem to have it all covered." He shrugs.

"I heard what happened and I'm sorry." I say honestly but it looks like he doesn't believe me at all since he scoffs at me. "I know it's hard to lose someone you care about, trust me, it'll get easier." I smile at him but he doesn't smile back. On the way to New Orleans, Nik told me that they did the harvest thing but it didn't go well and Davina didn't come back to life.

Marcel throws the bottle against the wall, speeding me against the wall and keeping me against the wall by my neck. "You don't know what it's like to lose someone you care about, so don't talk about it. And don't ever talk about Davina." He says in a threatening tone.

I kick his stomach, making him stumble back and drop his grip on my neck. "You don't know me. And I am truly sorry for Davina, even though we weren't close, we were getting to know each other."

I give him one last glance before walking out the room and downstairs to see Diego staring at me with a scared look. "We got a problem."

"What kind of problem?" I question, making him just look at the other vampires.
