I open my eyes slowly but my vision is slightly blurry. I reach for my eyes and rub them, trying to adjust them to the brightness. I close my eyes for a bare second before suddenly snapping them right open, remembering what happened.I'm dead.
"Emma?" I turn towards the voice, her eyes narrowing as she sees me standing in front of her.
"Bonnie." I breathe out, walking towards her.
"Why are you here?" She asks me, her eyes looking at me from bottom to top.
"I'm... I'm dead." I sigh. Of course when I died I needed to come to Bonnie, she's the anchor to the other side. "Tell them I love them." I tell her and she only nods.
"We'll figure it out." I frown at her words but before I can question her she touches my arm, which makes a bright light blind me again.
When I open my eyes again, I look at my surroundings narrowing my eyes at all of the unknown people that surround me. I die and the first place I go to on the other side, is the cemetery in Mystic Falls. That's wonderful.
"It's all topsy-turvy over here, darling, but I've got to say it's good to be seen. Don't tell me you don't remember me. Kol, original vampire, murdered pointlessly by Jeremy Gilbert." I hear a voice I thought I would not hear again speak.
"Yeah, I know who you are. I thought the whole point of this place was to live out your afterlife in solitude. Why can I see you?" I hear another too familiar voice question Kol. I walk through the cemetery trying to find the familiar voices, or I'm just hearing things and I'm going crazy.
"Well, apparently there's trouble in paradise. The rumblings from the witches is that somebody tore his way out of here, and now this whole place is unraveling. Not that that matters to you. You're just on holiday, which means you're going back." I see him lean against the tree as he explains to Matt what's happening. Wait... does that mean that the other side is falling part? As it it will not exist in a few hours?
"Have you seen Vicki?" He ask hopeful, maybe he hopes that as he can see others he can see his sister. "She's my sister. She's over here. If I can see you, then that means I can see her."
"Kol? Matt?" I call out, walking closer to the both of them, cutting their conversation short.
"Emma?" Kol questions in a confused tone. "What the hell are you doing here?"
"I'm dead." I state bluntly, not really knowing other way to say it.
"Dead?" Matt chocks out, not believing that I'm really dead.
"I knew that my brothers business would get you killed." I hear Kol mumble to himself, as he leans off the tree and walks closer to me. "How are you dead? If I remembered correctly, my dear brother say nothing would ever happen to you, so, why the bloody hell are you dead?!" He questions, his anger slightly taking over.
"Look it's not his fault I'm dead!" I quickly defend Nik. After all is not his fault I'm dead. I can't believe I'm actually dead and I didn't fight that hard to keep myself from dying, that's the sad part. "It's just this witch bitch that was jealous and somehow knew the spell to kill me and... it doesn't matter now. I'm dead, there's nothing anyone can do to make me comeback from the dead." I shake my head as I sit on a big rock in front of Kol.
"Well, darling, you happen to come at a very nasty time because this place is slowly falling apart." Kol tells me, making me let out a deep sigh I didn't know I was holding. My luck at its best.
"What about you Matt? Gilbert ring?" I ask and he only nods, which makes Kol stand back up and look at Matt in a threatening manner.
"I need you back in your body, shouting from the rooftops about what happened here. So you better chop chop." Kol tells him but Matt only turns away from him, sighing deeply.
