Miracle's pov"Now, you two can't call yourselves a connoisseur if you have not sampled each and every one of these." Daddy tells us as we are currently sitting in each leg of his.
He hands one of the cakes to me and then one to Hope. "Mmm, it's so good!" Hope moans and I couldn't agree more with her.
"Did I ever tell you the story of my first beignet?" Daddy questions us but we just shake our head as our mouths are full. "No? You are in for a treat."
With his super strength he picks both of us up and sits us down on a chairs as he starts to tell us a story. "Yes!" I exclaim lowkey wanting to know more about his past.
I place my hands to hold my head as I lean on the table as he starts speaking. "Long ago, three French nuns came to New Orleans looking for a fresh start. And they came here. They marched right into our courtyard, and they presented your Uncle Elijah and me with these rather lumpy-looking, sugar-coated pastries. Well, needless to say, we were entranced. We set them up quite well." He smiles at us as he finishes explaining his story and I immediately smile back in admiration.
He's so cool.
The best daddy I could ever imagine.
Hope furrows her eyebrows in curiosity. "Why did they come to you?"
He kneels down in front of us, smiling ever so happily. "Because there was a time when we were regarded as royalty. You might even go so far as to say I was king, which would make you and Miracle princesses."
"Good morning." Mom Hayley says, walking closer to us and placing a kiss on top Hope's head and then on mine. "I guess apple turnover is fruit." She mumbles, looking at all of the pastries on the table.
"Well, I saw no harm in indulging our daughter's sweet tooth. All things in moderation, of course." He reassures her and mom nods her head, crossing her arms over her chest.
"Don't eat too many." Mom states with a pointed look making me exchange a look with Hope before nodding our heads. "You'll get a stomachache." She warns before giving a slight nod to daddy and the two leaves us with the table full of pastries.
"What they can't see won't hurt them." I say as I start putting as much pastries on my mouth as I can, making Hope laugh at me because I must have sugar all over my face.

Emma's pov
"He's not at Marcel's." Hayley worries as me and her stand in front of Freya in the living room. Elijah didn't come home yesterday and no one has an idea of where he is or if someone kidnapped him.
Freya sighs, holding her hands above the map. "I'll find him." She starts chanting the spell but the blood on the map doesn't move, meaning one or two things. "He's cloaked by magic. I can feel it."
We all exchange a defeated look but suddenly some soft clattering from behind us, makes us turn around to see that the bone Hayley bought home to protect, is once again moving on its own.
"That's her. That's the Hollow. She has Elijah, and now she wants that bone." Vincent tells us as soon as he enters the living room, shocking me because I didn't even know that he was here. That's weird.
"In exchange for Elijah?" Hayley mumbles, looking up to Vincent.
"No, you don't understand. There won't be an exchange." He yells at her like it triggered him, making me raise my eyebrows at him. "She needs Elijah to die in order to channel the energy from his sacrifice. She's already poisoned him with the rose thorns. She wants this bone by sundown. If she doesn't get it, then she's gonna come here and she's gonna take it. And when she does, she's gonna burn this entire city to the ground." He concludes as the bone keeps moving around.
