Mystic Falls is no longer anti-magic because Kai sucked all of the travellers spell which is kinda of impressive but kinda of scary because we don't know what he's going to do with all of the magic.

"Hey, Em." Jeremy greets, walking past me as if it's a normal Tuesday and I had never left. "I'm happy you're alive. I thought I lost you again." He states, turning around to face me. "You have no idea how much I actually missed you, Em. One thing is you being in New Orleans, the other is you being dead." Jeremy tells me and I look down at the ground at the mention of New Orleans.

"It's good to be back."

I have been back for a few days but for some reason I haven't been able to pick up a phone and call Nik, telling him I'm alive. I think I'm scared he won't believe I'm real, I want to tell him face to face but I can't wait for much longer.

I need to call him today.

Suddenly, a scream coming from the living room interrupts the both of us. We share a knowing look and I place my mug down, walking out of the kitchen and heading towards the living room.

"Hey, where can I get a t-shirt?" Liv questions me when I walk into the hallway.

"Damon's room. Upstairs, last door at the end of the hall." I narrow my eyes at her, while Stefan walks inside the house, the both of us exchanging a confused look as we make our way inside the living room.

"What are you doing in my house?" Stefan demands when our eyes land on Jo and the mess she is making in the living room.

"You suck." I mutter under my breath.

"Fire spell." Jo says with a frown, looking around her before giving us a nervous look. "Sort of. It turns out, getting back in touch with your magic isn't anything like riding a bike." She chuckles but Stefan and I nod unamused. "I am sorry about that vase, though. Was that expensive?" Jo points at the broken pieces in front of her.

"Well, I don't know. But the Smithsonian would. You should call them." Stefan replies sarcastically, making me let out a laugh as the front door opens and closes.

Ric walks into the living room, holding some food for Jo and making his way towards her as I zone out of the conversation. My attention drifts from the newest love birds to my new phone as I receive a new message.

'Hi, beautiful' the text reads, making me roll my eyes since I know exactly who it is from.

How the hell did he get my number?

I just got a new phone this morning!

I ignore the text, stuffing my phone back in my pocket and I look up at Stefan, who's talking to Jo and Ric. "And, what exactly are we watching?" Stefan pipes into their conversation.

"Today, we make smores." Jo states, causing me to raise my eyebrows at her. "In a month, I win the merge and I become the leader of my coven, guaranteeing it's survival." She concludes with a small smile.

Kai might be evil but he's strong and I don't think Jo is going to be able to beat him, no matter how many years she practises for. She is a nice person and a good doctor from what I heard. Unfortunately, nice isn't what wins the merge, power and control is and right now she's failing at both.

"Liv has me on a 30-day regimen between now and the next celestial event." Jo adds, grabbing the mimosas from Ric.

Oh, I want some of that because if I'm watching this... I can't be sober.

My phone vibrates i my pocket again and I pull it out, allowing my eyes to skim through the messages of the unknown number and I roll my eyes again.

Don't ignore me, Em!
-Yours Truly, Kai
