"And, of course, I broke into the Oval Office and took a picture of myself at the window, looking all JFK. But then, I was, like, 'Wait-- How am I going to get these photos developed?'." Kai says, not having stopped talking but having said nothing helpful."Oh my god, just answer the damn question." Damon hits the table in frustration. "How are we going to get out of this Twilight Zone?" Damon groans, sitting down by my side.
"I got a question for you, first. Why do you think we're stuck on a repeating loop of May 10, 1994?" Kai dodges the question, making Damon raise his eyebrows as if to say he doesn't know. "Doomed to relive a solar eclipse forever and ever, and ever."
"How the hell would we know?" I shrug, taking a sip of my bourbon.
"Well, I heard you tell Em and Bonnie that this place was your own personal hell. I'm kind of curious why." Kai raises his eyebrows, a smirk breaking through.
"You know what? He has a point." I exclaim, turning to look at Damon. "You have been saying it every single day for the last four months without a good reason."
Bonnie enters the living room, making her way over to the coffee table and dropping all of the items Kai asked for. "I found everything you asked for: can-opener, shower drain, grinding wheel, jam, pocket knife, volume 'O' of the encyclopedia, a nail and a black marker." She concludes, making Damon stand up to his feet again.
"Now what, o' saviour?" I add sarcastically.
"Can't show you with my hands taped." Kai mentions down to his wrists, causing me to roll my eyes and grab the pocket knife from the table.
"E-." Damon starts but I still walk over to Kai, cutting the tape and ropes that restrain him.
"Thank you, beautiful." Kai flashes me a smile, while he stands up and stretches.
"Okay. Fine. How is this pile of crap going to get us out of here?" Damon questions him with a stern tone as I remain standing by Kai who's rubbing his sore wrists.
"I'll explain... as soon as you tell me what you did on May 10, 1994." Kai arches his eyebrows.
"What difference does it make!?" Damon nearly shouts, frustrated and something tells me whatever he did was not good at all if he doesn't want to talk about it.
"Let me put it this way—Bonnie's magic is one part of the equation, Emma is being rational and has a pretty face to look at, unlike you. My as-yet undisclosed knowledge is the other part of the equation. Which means you would be hitching a ride home for free." Kai points out, while Bonnie and I stare at Kai with an annoyed look. "I just want to know if you deserve to come along."
Damon speeds over to Kai, snatching the pocket knife from my hand and grabbing Kai by his collar, placing the knife against his neck. "Or I could just torture you until you say something useful." Damon threatens.
Kai furrows his eyebrows, speaking slowly to Damon "If you torture me, I'll get mad, and then I won't want to help you." He drifts his eyes over my way. "What kind of person needs to have that explained to them?"
I walk over to the two of them, snatching back the pocket knife from Damon's hand, pushing him away from Kai. "Don't be an idiot." I give Damon a knowing look.
"You're the idiot!" Damon hisses and I throw the knife his way but he is quick to grab it before it lands on his forehead.
"Oops. It slipped." I give him a tight smile. "Now tell him your damn story. Because I have a man waiting for me. A man I'm trying to get to, but if you kill him... we have no clue on how to get the hell out of here!!!" I yell back at him, running a hand through my hair. "Just tell him your story already or I'll compel you to do so." I hiss in anger, a challenging look on my face.
