It's been a few days and I missed the bachelorette party because I needed some time alone to make sense of everything I did and I said when my emotions were shut."Crap," Jo spins around to face Elena and I, while I'm pouring a couple of drinks for all of us. "they're not here."
"What's wrong?" Elena's eyebrows furrow in confusion.
"My shoes!" She starts to freak out, looking around the living room. "My gorgeous, ridiculously expensive, wear-them-once-and-never-again shoes. They are missing."
"Do you want me to do a locator spell?" Bonnie offers, shooting her a reassuring smile.
"On my shoes?" Jo questions in disbelief, receiving a quick nod from Bonnie. "Is that possible?"
"I don't know, actually. Just hang on," Bonnie mutters, looking like she's struggling to make the steamer work. "I got to figure out how to work this stupid thing."
"Oh, good, break it! Because my wrinkled dress will surely distract everyone from my bare feet." Jo states sarcastically, causing me to let out a snort.
"Come on. Don't waste all your panic now!" Elena tries to calm her down, while I take a seat in front of them. "You still have eight hours until the ceremony." She offers her one of the drinks I poured. "Non-alcoholic mimosa?"
"One, a non-alcoholic mimosa is just an orange juice. And two, I can't drink. Somebody should drink." Jo stresses out, handing the drink back to Elena. "You should drink."
"I will drink, eventually. But, I have human tolerance now, which is cheaper but a lot less fun." Elena and Jo clink their glasses together, making me remember that Elena is no longer a vampire.
Apparently, while I was away Damon asked her to marry in the Vampire way by giving her the cure and offering to take it as well after the wedding.
"Cheers."
I take a sip from my own drink when Jo's phone starts ringing, causing Elena to hold a finger up to stop Jo from answering. "Jo's phone. Oh, huh. Okay." Elena says looking worried, making Jo walk closer to her.
"That's not an "okay" okay. That's a "there's a problem" okay." Jo panics as Elena hangs up the phone, Bonnie walking towards us to join the conversation.
Elena awkwardly hesitates for a moment before she turns to Jo. "Danielle's got the flu."
Jo smiles tightly with a small chuckle. "It sounded like you just said, "Danielle has the flu," which is impossible, because Danielle is my wedding coordinator." I raise my eyebrows, taking a sip from my drink. "Well, how sick is she? Can she still work?" She asks frantically, making me laugh again, having heard the conversation on the phone.
Jo turns her head to look at me, giving me a deadly glare. "It depends on how much vomit you want to have at the wedding you've been planning for weeks." I reply for Elena.
Jo starts to pace around the room but she stops when she hears a voice, making me turn around in the couch to see who it is, immediately bringing a smile to my lips.
"To be honest, I think maybe this is a good thing! Because no matter how good Danielle was, I am pretty sure I'm better." The voice calls out, strolling through the living room.
"Caroline, I missed you!" Elena smiles, bringing Caroline into a tight bear hug.
"Thank you for getting me back." Caroline admits with a smile, pulling Elena away. Bonnie quickly hugs Caroline, both of them with tears in their eyes. "Okay, now, we've got a lot to do and not a lot time to do it. Elena, just have a drink, you're not going to pass out." Caroline instructs as Elena goes to fix herself a drink. "Bonnie, the switch is on the left-hand side on the back." Bonnie walks to the steamer so she can finish steaming the wrinkles out of Jo's wedding gown. "And Jo, I can see your shoes under the couch." She winks at Jo who sighs in relief. "Okay, now, who's dealing with the boys?"
