"Emma will you marry me?"I'm overwhelmed with happiness that I simply jump to hug him, which makes the both of us fall to the ground, full on laughter at my actions. Nothing could make me happier right now.
"What do you think, Nik?"
"I hope that's a yes." He says seriously, the two of us sitting up and as soon as we do, he grabs my hand and slips the ring on. "When all of this prophecy madness is done, that's gonna be a wedding ring. I promise. Then you're mine. No going back. Always and forever, love. You and me against the world."
"Always and forever." I grin up at him, wrapping my hands around his neck to push him closer to my lips.
For a few moments, he pulls away and stares deep into my eyes before quickly leaning in and crashing his lips against mine, kissing me with so much passion.
Nik slips his arms around my waist, pulling me up with him. He leads the two of us out of the balcony and into our room, with me still wrapped around his body and we never break our kiss.
Nothing could make me happier or ruin this day! I hope I'm not speaking too soon because after something good, there's always a bump in the road

I laugh at Nik's lame attempt to make a joke as I eat the rest of the toast, the servant pouring some of her blood into my cup with a smile on her face. I wonder if Nik compels her to smile while going against her will.
"You're so lame."
He chuckles at my words. "If you say that, angel, why are you laughing?"
"Because it was super lame!" I exclaim, still laughing at his joke. It was a super dry joke and to be honest I expected him to have super good jokes since he's been around for a very long time.
Suddenly, Elijah enters the dinning room with a surrowful expression clear on his face, making my smile turn upside down as soon as I read his mind not even letting him have the opportunity to open his mouth and say it.
Elijah looks in between me and Nik, seeing that we were having a good breakfast and now he's going to tell us some bad news, obviously changing the mood. "I am very sorry for interrupting but we have found Cami." I look down at my feet as Nik narrows his eyes at Elijah. "We found her in her house. I assume she did not wish to feed. I'm sorry, Niklaus."
Nik is obviously hurt about the news and I grab his hand to try and offer him some comfort. I know that Nik cared about her, even if she was just friend. She was there to listen to him, understand him and help him. Now she's just gone.
"Serratura needs to be recovered." Elijah sighs in frustration and throws his coat onto the chair. "And Freya's pendant is also missing."
Nik rolls his eyes at Elijahs last statement. "And Finn's mystical essence along with it. So let the imbecile stay lost! Our business for today is to finish off the de Martels!"
I look softly at him, seeing that he's trying to hide the hurt by Cami's death. Elijah sits down in front of us, making us look at him. "Tristan needs the most powerful witch in the city to activate that weapon. A Regent."
"Who was once possessed by Finn..." I mumble only for myself to hear. "Vincent." I say but this time loud enough for the two boys to hear it and they give me a weird look as if to asking how I know that name. "Freya told me about him."
"I'll go." Elijah immediately offers, standing up from his seat and placing his coat back on. "Niklaus stay here with Emma, if anything gets out of hand I'll be sure to call." He turns to look at me before a big smile takes over his face. "Congratulations, Emma. But you were already part of the family." He whispers, giving a tight hug.
