"Hey, Jer." I smile into the phone, while me and Damon walk through the police station. Damon called me in the morning telling me that he was going to see Liz and he asked me if I wanted to come and I said yes.

I want to thank Liz for everything that she has done for me and my family.

I want to have one final good moment with her.

"I graduated." Jeremy says, taking me back by surprise.

"How did that happen?" I raise my eyebrows in disbelief.

"Well, Damon and Elena have a very unique way of persuading people." Jeremy clarifies, earning another smile from me even though he can't see me.

"Well, little bro, congratulations. I'll see you later?"

"Yeah. You still up for a movie?" He questions and I make an agreeable 'yup' sound before hanging up the phone.

"So Jer told you about graduation." Damon speaks up, stopping me before we walk into Liz's office.

"And I guess I have to thank you for that. So thank you." I tell him and he smiles in response.

Damon looks around the police station before looking back at me. "Now just a quick fire Q&A!" Damon holds up his indicator finger to his lips before pointing at me. "Have you see Kai after the whole saving Bon thing or is he still camping at your house?"

I take some time to answer not knowing if I should tell him the truth. "Not anymore." I shrug, trying to walk away but Damon stops me again by grabbing both of my arms forme to face him.

"Care to explain what that's suppose to mean?" He asks me, seeming annoyed that I saw Kai again. "That sounds like you did see him again but he's not living with you anymore. What happened?"

"Care to explain why you want to know?" I fire back.

He rolls his eyes, letting out a frustrated groan. "Don't answer a question with a question. You're deflecting. I invented that. "

"Then I learned from the best." I roll my eyes at him before letting out a sigh. "Look I got home one day and he was there and he wanted to... talk." I answer, attempting to walk away from him again but he gets a grip of my arm and gently pulls me back to stand in front of him.

"Nothing else happened." He asks, sounding more like a statement than a question. "Right? Because Emma in case you forgot he's obsessed about you and you," he pokes me in the chest to emphasise his point. "have a boyfriend back at your house in New Orleans."

"Nik is with someone else." I inform him, making him raise his eyebrows, looking shocked at my words. "I mean.... he thinks I'm dead. I haven't called him and after I found out I... I didn't want him to know. I guess I'll go visit them after so.... yeah."

"I'm going to kick his ass." Damon mumbles, completely ignoring my explanation. "I don't care if he thinks you're dead. I'll kill him once and for all." He tells me, making me roll my eyes. "But just tell me that nothing happened between you and Kai because you needed some kind of distraction, E."

"Do I tell you what you want to hear or what really happened?" I smirk and he releases the hold he had on my arms, making a disgusted face.

"Please don't tell me you two sle-." I cut him off.

"He's great in bed." I smirk to annoy him even more before I turn on my heel and finally walk inside Liz's office. "Queen Emma Gilbert has arrived." I speak up when I see Liz behind her desk, she shoots me a smile as Damon walks through the office. "Oh and Damon."

"Not to be blunt, but I think dying gets you a ticket out of work." Damon blurts out, receiving a playful glare from Liz which makes him shoot his hands up in defense. "Just saying. How you feeling?"
