Today everything has been going really well, there haven't been too many complications, so my work day has been reasonably manageable, plus my shift has ended at exactly the right time, which is rare.

As i change and clear out my locker, i feel very energetic and excited, and ready to do something exciting for the evening.

I haven't been home in what feels like a long time, so i'm thinking of going to spend the night there and catch up with my family, especially on all the plans for Gemma's wedding, which i know have already started, plus it would be nice to just hang out with everyone again.

I walk out of the hospital building with a few colleagues of mine, make our way to the car park.

"Doctor St Patrick." Someone calls my name, and i turn around to see who it is.

"Max?....." I mumble, when i see the man, and realise i had just walked passed him and had not noticed him.

"Hai, what are you doing here?" I ask.

"Waiting for you." he says.

I tuck a strand of hair behind my hair that just got blown in my face by the wind as i look around him.

"Oh....is Aaron with you." i ask, a jolt of excitement running through my veins.

"No...Something came up and he had to rush somewhere." He replies.

"Ok...well, i was just going to go home..to the Manor, not my place, but to the Manor, to visit my family tonight.." i say, and feel silly for explaining my self to him.

He nods.

"I see, I will take you." He says.

"That won't be necessary...i'm perfectly capable of driving myself." I say.

"I'm sure you are, but i insist." he responds.

"I believe Mr Bishop left you a message on your phone." he adds.

"Raquel?" One of my colleagues calls.

"I will see you guys tomorrow." I say in response and they nod.

I turn around and grab my phone from my bag and switch it on again.

I have a few missed calls, and a message from Aaron.

I texted him before my shift begun and again at my lunch break, but he must have seen my lunch text a little too late, because he didn't reply soon enough because i switched my phone off when i went back to work.

I smile at his text, an acceptance to my invitation to dinner on Sunday night, except, Sunday is too and he wants to see me again today, even if it's just for a few minutes

"Where is he now again?" i ask Max.

"He was going to come, but he rushed to one of the sites to take care of some thing." Max replies.
