"Are you ready baby?' Dad asks me hoarsely as we face Yolanda's beautiful garden decorated beautifully, the white, yellow and red flowers contrasting beautifully with the green garden area and white chairs

I turn my head from looking down the other end of the aisle at Aaron to look up at him in his black tux and bow tie.

He looks great, with his grey hair.

"Yes." I say, meeting his brown eyed gaze and smiling.

He smiles back, the corners of his eyes wrinkling with age at the action, but also, with genuine happiness in this moment.

I couldn't imagine ever feeling happier, but I do right now.

"Let's go get your prince." he says as he starts walking, moving carefully so not to step on my dress.

My prince?

I like that.

But Aaron is not just my prince, he is my knight in shining amour, he rescued me, and I rescued him right back.

He is my best friend, the person I trust the most.

The first person I tell everything to.

My favorite person in the whole world.

 My protector.

My confidant,

My lover.

The father of my baby. We share the most precious thing in this life to me, that bonds us even more.

I can't live life without him, I can't imagine how I ever did before him.

My eyes gloss over at all the black suits standing in front of us and I almost want to laugh.

That's a lot of groomsmen.

But then again, I have eight bridesmaids.

I glance at my mother, and she is crying.

She always cries.

She cried at Angela's wedding, cried at Gemma's wedding and I bet, she will cry at Eva and Mercedes's weddings too.

She is holding to her chest the gift I gave her and Dad earlier when they came to my dressing room.

I know their marriage is not perfect, but it inspires me. They have been together for so long, and gone through every up and down together, and I just want to have something like that with Aaron as well.

Mom is very fond of Aaron, she has always had so much faith in him and what he feels for me, so I know that she is probably as happy as I am that I am marrying him today.

And then there is Aaron's family. They have embraced me with open arms, made me feel welcome from the very beginning and shown me so much love and kindness, I already feel like one of them.
