I walk with dad to the barn, mentally, preparing myself for a lecture that after spending about an hour alone with Raquel, I know is coming.

But I already know that he is fond of her, so I'm not necessarily worried, just curious of what she may have said to him and he to her about me.

Seeing here, blending with my family, my feelings have grown expeditiously, and quite frankly, it's not even been a full day that she has been here, but I can't bear to be away from her, especially knowing she is right around the corner.

It's such a little time that we have to not think about anything but us, and I know that when we get back home to Hartford, a lot of things will have to change again, but after today, I know I will not be satisfied with seeing her every other day like before, or dropping her off at home after a date or something....we will have to re-address our relationship, our level of commitment towards each other.

I suddenly can't imagine any part of my life without her... it's not even possible.

Which also means getting on better terms with her family like she has mine, as well as reassuring her father about us.

"Are you listening to me." Dad echoes and my eyes widen, as I register the fact that he has been talking to me.

"Sorry, what's that?" I ask, and he sighs.

"I want to ask you for a favor." He says, seriously.

My brows lift in anticipation, albeit curiosity.

"Okay....what?"

Later, Dad and I walk back into the house to find a lot of noise and excitement.

It's almost dinner time and people are wandering around close to the dining area.

"Where's Raquel" I ask, noticing her absence.

"She went outside to pick up a phone call." someone says, and I nod in acknowledgement.

I notice Nick eye me over the top of his glass as I turn to go look for her and I know what his thoughts are, probably everyone's thoughts.... I'm acting too obsessed with her, that I won't leave her alone for too long.

But what can I say, it's true.

I walk in the direction I was pointed in, and find Raquel outside, sitting on a swing bench that's on the patio.

I stand by the door and wait to make eye contact with her.

She smiles and waves at me when she sees me.

'It's Aaron' she says into the phone, the way she is holding it, it's definitely a video call.

I nod and start to leave, deciding to give her some privacy, maybe a few more minutes won't send me into cardiac arrest, but then she calls for me.
