I stretch my hand to switch off the ringing alarm. I have been awake for a few minutes already but was patiently watching and waiting for the thing to go off.

I turn to look at Raquel side of the bed where she is peacefully sleeping, and contemplate waking her up, perhaps in the most tantalizing manner.

Mmmm, my groin agrees and reacts to the little thought, but I sigh and get up anyway. A morning run should be able to clear my mind and activate my energy levels for the day.

After a change of clothes, I give Raquel a quick glance to find her still deeply sleeping. She is usually a light sleeper and would have heard me move around the room, but this pregnancy thing is really knocking her out.

I close the bedroom door and walk out of the apartment, stopping at the entrance of the apartment building to enjoy the early morning fresh air as I plug my earphones into my ears. I wait until I spot Paul and Max in the car down the street before I begin trotting down the stairs and into the streets.

Forty-five minutes later, I walk back into the apartment, a sheet of sweat covering my body and soaking through my shorts and the old tshirt I wore. As soon as I take the earphones out of my ears, I hear moment in the kitchen and go there.

Raquel is cutting up fruits into little pieces which she is putting into the blender to make a smoothie.

She has showered and gotten dressed for work already.

She looks up when she sees me coming and smiles.

"Hello."

"Hai." I reply.

"I hope this is not your only breakfast." I say, coming to stand behind her.

"I don't have time to make anything else right now, so this will have to do for now...... this one is for you." she says, pointing to the half full glass of orange liquid on the table next to her.

I raise the glass to my lips and drink all the contents in one goal, then put the empty glass back down.

"Thank you." I say.

"You're welcome baby" she murmurs.

I like hearing her say that and kiss her cheek.

She giggles but starts to move away when I start to kiss her neck, obviously to avoid my sweat getting onto her clean clothes.

I grab her by her behind and pull her towards me, but she protests and puts her hands on my chest.

I pull her forward anyway, until she crushes into my body.

"Goodmorning my love." I say, leaning down towards her mouth.

Her lips are soft and smell and taste like the cherries lip gloss she wears, my favorite scent.

"I'm going to go take a shower, come say goodbye before you leave." I say.

"Ok." she says, as I pull away.
