"Don't worry.." I say, getting up off the chair and walking around him on my way out, my scarf running through his fingers lightly until it s...

"Hey, so when we go on vacation just us girls, and we will very soon, you are paying for it all." Angela murmurs, as we walk across the car park to our cars, digging her fingers into a pack of crisps, her fourth one today, and it's not even noon yet.
She's eating everything she sets her eyes on.
I smile and turn my eyes back on Aaron as he walks ahead of us with Roman. With the weather so cold now, he has on a black thick coat over his inside clothes with brown winter boots and a black beanie...he looks very winter and casual..it's nice.
I look at the back of his head, his dark hair, slipping through the ends of his headsock, his broad shoulders. The way every stride reflects the inborn self-confidence and poise that him and his brothers all seem to possess in abundance.
Kind of cheeky actually.
He turns his head to glance at me, as if my thoughts teleported to him.
I go into the same car as him, with him in the driver's seat.
He adjusts the rearview mirror to put me in the frame, then proceeds to give me flirty glances every once in a while, as he drives.
I can't help but smile.
I like this.
I missed this.
We have both been so focused on being new parents that I forgot what it was like to just be....us.
To feel like a wanted woman again.
I look out of the window.
Coming home, I knew there would some kind of celebration, especially after my sisters insisted that I wear something particularly 'nice' and went on to give me a dress they bought specifically for today. I just hoped that it wouldn't be anything too lavish because in as much as I do want to celebrate today, I want to keep it simple and relax.
However, if my family have anything to do with the organizing, I know it will probably be a big deal..especially that the venue is El Paraiso and Yolanda likes to keep her own standard high too.
Walking into the house, I find that the foyer is wonderfully decorated with balloons, flowers and filled with people.
As soon as we appear, confetti are blown into the air and champagne bottles popped, the noise causing little Amara still in her car seat that Aaron is now holding in his hand to wake up from her nap with a loud wail.
But instead of feeling regret for waking her up, everyone is delighted to hear the baby cry, and quickly surround Aaron to see her, Especially the kids, who have been waiting eagerly all morning for their new cousin to finally come home.
