I stare at my phone, still a bit surprised by Aaron suddenly reaching out to me.

My phone beeps again and i look down at the screen and see that i have received another message from him.

'Sunday night it is then.'

Reads the text, followed by..

'I will send you the address later.'

I read the text twice, and look up.

This seems rather abrupt and i don't know how to feel about it.

He did say he would find me, and deep down, i kind of been waiting for that...i guess this is him finding me.

I put my phone down on my lap and try to pay attention to my sister's talking.

Ofcourse i want to see him again..

I have thought about nothing else since that Monday at his office.

After my lunch date with Mom and Mercedes, i get into my car and turn my phone over on my lap and finally respond to Aaron's last text.

But it's not until much later in the late afternoon that he sends me a time and address.

I put my phone away and walk into the hospital corridors, after starting my shift.

"Hey Doc"

"Hai Rafael...feeling any better this evening?" I ask, walking into his ward.

"Better, now that you are here..." Replies the 17 year old boy.

"Don't get me arrested now." I chuckle, checking his vitals and how his wound is healing.

"It will be our little secret." He says and i hum in sarcastic agreement.

"Good evening Mrs Turner." I say to his mother, sitting on the other side on the room reading a book.

"Goodevening Dr St-Patrick." She replies with a smile.

She is used to her son constantly making passes at me in her presence as if she is not there. This is now their third week in the hospital.

Rafael, like my father mean years ago, had an organ transplant and needed more than one surgery for his condition to stabilize..he is now in recovery, and his condition normalizing everyday, i check up on him often when i'm on duty.

He reminds me so much of that time with my Dad.....i was just around Rafael's age actaully and it's what inspired me to study medicine.

"You know, it's not so bad...think of it as a medal of honor..wear it with pride." I say, making reference to the scar that's forming from the surgeries he has had that makes him frown or scoff every time he looks at it.
