After our conversation Jahseh got me some clothes to sleep in before going to bed with me but I couldn't sleep through the night. Something didn't feel right in my chest, I was scared.
So instead of waking Seh up I left the room and went into the kitchen to get a snack.
"You can't sleep either?" Lily asked making me almost jump out of my skin so she giggled.
"Where'd you come from?" I whispered.
"I've been sitting here the whole time" she giggled making me shake my head.
"No I can't sleep" I answered her question rom before making her nod.
"I heard you arguing earlier, you okay?" She asked and I shrugged.
"He doesn't want me around my family anymore" I told her and she nodded.
"He's just trying to protect you, that's probably the best thing to do from what I've heard about them" she told me and I nodded.
"Yeah but I love them, I don't want to just cut connection from them" I told her.
"You might love them but they don't love you" she told me making me look down and twist my lips.
"You think so?" I asked her and she nodded.
"Think of what they've done Joey, don't keep letting them do it" she spoke making me sigh.
"You're right" I told her and she nodded.
I finally grabbed my snack and was going to walk back to the room with Seh but she stopped me.
"You don't want to sit out here with me?" She asked and I shrugged.
"I can, I just thought you wanted space" I told her and she nodded.
"I'll still have my space if it's just you" she told me and I nodded.
I sat across from her and began to eat my chips, watching the cartoon.
"I'm scared Joey" she spoke making me raise an eyebrow.
"Of what?" I asked her.
"Stokeley leaving me, he'll eventually get tired of taking care of me" she explained and I shook my head.
"He loves you, I don't think he looks at it like that" I told her and she shrugged.
"I don't know, he doesn't seem like he loves me as much anymore" she told me and I nodded.
"Maybe try talking to him, he might just be feeling a little down at the moment" I told her and she nodded.
It got quiet for a little before she spoke "can you actually tell me what happened at Bruno's house?" She asked and I shook my head.
"I don't really want to talk about it" I told her and she nodded before we both stopped, hearing a door open.
"Lily come to bed" Stokeley groaned making me giggle.
"I think he misses you" I told her.
She blushed before standing and going to the room "goodnight Joey" she whispered.
"Goodnight Joey" Stokeley spoke behind her.
"Goodnight guys" I spoke before their door closed, leaving me alone.
I continued to watch the tv lowly and eat my snacks until they were all gone but I didn't feel like getting more so I just sat there and watched the tv before hearing a door open again.
"Why are you sitting out here?" Jahseh in groggy voice making me look up.
He stood in the doorway, rubbing his eyes.
"I came to get a snack and then I was talking to Lily but she went to bed" I told him and he nodded.
"You told her about the Bruno situation?" He asked and I shook my head making him nod.
"Come back to bed" he told me making me nod and get up to throw away my trash before going in the room.
He went into the living room to turn off the tv before coming in behind me.
"You know I'm not mad at you right Joey? I don't love you any less because of this situation" he told me making me tear up.
"But you yelled and cursed at me" I told him and he nodded, pulling me into a hug.
"I'm sorry I was just upset, I wasn't trying to hurt your feelings I was just frustrated. Can you forgive me?" He asked and I nodded.
"Yes but don't do it again" I told him and he chuckled.
"I won't baby, I'm sorry."
