After sitting and talking for awhile I realized I had no reason to be afraid of Lily not liking me. She's literally so sweet.
While me and her talked we barely ate our food while Seh and Stokeley ate all of their food and just showed each other things on their phones.
"You never dye your hair Joey?" Lily asked me, looking at her pink hair I shook my head no.
"I don't think my parents would allow that" I told her and she nodded.
"My momma loved my hair. She did it for me" she told me and I seen her eyes started to look sad before she snapped back.
It didn't scare my I just wanted to help but my phone ringing stopped me. I looked down and seen it was my mom falling making me answer.
After I did Jahseh turned and looked at me trying to figure out was going on. When he seen I ask on the phone with my mom he got quiet and told Stokeley too.
I just sat quietly on the phone with her listening to her talk. She said she knew I was on a date but she was anxious to meet Jahseh and wanted us to stop what we're doing to meet her.
I think she just wants to meet Jahseh because I'm a little sometimes. If I wasn't I don't think she'd care this much.
I still said okay though and turned to Seh who was already looking at me. Without me saying anything he nodded and grabbed my hand.
"Alright y'all we have to go" he told them and they nodded.
Stokeley gave him a fist bump before they had a little talk. After that I told them it was a nice meeting or whatever and we left out.
Sitting in the car with Jahseh I knew that I needed to get out of my little state before we got back to my house but the way he treats me isn't helping.
"I want you to calm down" he told me making me look over at him.
He's right.
"I'm trying to snap out of my little state" I told him and he furrowed his eyebrows.
"No" he told me making me sigh.
"Seh I can't be in little state will she's trying to meet you she won't like you plus I told them I wasn't a little anymore" I told him making him roll his eyes and start the car.
"You shouldn't have to lie Joey" he told me and I nodded.
Out of nervousness I grabbed his hand but he didn't seem to mind me holding it while he drove.
Once we got to my house I sighed and let go of Jahseh's hand trying to shake the feeling but it wouldn't leave.
I'd have to just fake it.
"I don't like that you have to keep doing this" he told me making me nod.
"We'll it's not working right now" I told him making him shrug.
He got out of the car before coming and opening my door and letting me out. Looking at him while I did it didn't help because now I was fully a little.
"I-I can't" I whispered tugging Jahseh's hand which made him stop.
"Joey come on it'll be fine, you got it" he told me and I shook my head.
"I don't got da-Seh" I spoke making him smirk.
"What did you almost say?" He asked and I shook my head.
"Let's just go meet my mom" I told him making him chuckle as I pulled him.
When we walked up to the door my mother was already standing there with her arms crossed.
She looked down at me and Jahseh but surprisingly said nothing making Jahseh look at me.
"Hi my name is Jahseh" he spoke and she nodded.
"Hi Jahseh. How old are you?" She asked.
"17" he answered and she nodded.
"That's your car?" She asked and he nodded.
"Okay that's all I wanted, I was just trying to make sure Joey is safe" she told him and he nodded.
"Oh yeah with me she'll always be safe."
