After we left Jahseh's mother house we went to the studio where everyone was. I wasn't really used to his other friends so I sat to myself on the couch as he finished up his verse.
"You Joey, right?I heard a guy ask making me look up from Jahseh's phone.
I nodded my head making him nod and sit beside me.
"I'm Danny" he told me making me nod.
I think I've seen him before.
I looked at him a little longer before turning away and realizing I had. He was the guy from Bruno's house.
"How you been?" He asked me making me shrug.
"I'm okay, how are you?" I asked him and he shrugged also.
"I've seen better days" he told me making me nod, understanding where he was coming from.
"Hey um, what were you doing at Bruno's house? If you don't mind me asking" he asked after the silence making me twist my lips.
"I don't really want to talk about it" I told him making him nod.
"That's cool."
"The whole thing was just weird and I'm a little oblivious to everything so I wanted to hear your side" he spoke making me sigh.
"I mean you don't have to tell me I was just curious" he finished, folding his lips in making me nod.
"It's just not anything I'm ready to share, I mean I didn't put myself there if that's what you are thinking" I clarified and he nodded.
"Oh I know-" he paused and chuckled.
"X wouldn't have you around anymore" he told me making me nod.
"When'd you two meet anyway? I hadn't seen you before then" he continued the conversation.
"At the grocery store" I answered and he nodded, leaning forward and twisting his hair.
Before he could say anything else Jahseh walked up, catching his attention so he looked up at him while Jahseh furrowed his eyebrows before looking at me.
"Wassup?" He asked making Danny shrug and I did the same.
"Move over" he told Danny making him move away from me before Jahseh sat there.
"You okay?" He asked me and I nodded, trying to pass him his phone but he rejected.
"You can keep playing" he told me, rubbing my arm.
I nodded and looked back down at the phone.
He ran his hand through my hair as I did but I just ignored it, letting it soothe me.
"I didn't know we were bringing girls, nigga being selfish" another guy spoke making Seh suck his teeth.
"Nigga this my girlfriend" he spoke up making the guy chuckle.
"My bad, I thought I had been left out" he spoke making Jahseh shake his head.
"Always chasing some pussy" he mumbled but the other guys heard making them start to instigate.
"I know you ain't talking, the way she got you over there you whipped" he teased making Seh suck his teeth.
"I ain't whipped nigga."
"Whatever, I bet if she tell you to do something you do it" he continued making me shake my head and keep it down in his phone.
"That don't make me whipped dumbass" he sucked his teeth and sat back.
"Yeah, yeah whatever you say; you and ski whipped as fuck."
"Suck a dick bro you just mad cause you ain't got no bitch and if you do get one she be on go" Jahseh spoke making everyone quiet down.
"I mean from what I heard so is she" the other spoke, pointing to me after defending himself.
"The fuck are you talking about?" Jahseh asked, taking his hand out my hair which made me look up.
"What you was doing at Bruno's house little mama?" He asked making me look over at him before looking at Jahseh.
"Don't worry bout shit that don't have nothing to do with you bro" Seh spoke, defending me.
"Nah you want to talk about my ex being a bop but your current girl is a bop" he teased making Seh's jaw tighten.
"Why you not saying nothing ma?" The guy spoke going back to me.
"Because she don't have to talk to you and she not no fucking bop, disrespect her again and I'm going to 'bop' your ass in your fucking head" he spoke, standing up which made my eyes widen.
The guy chuckled "yeah Ight, you trying to fuck me next?" He asked me making me furrow my eyebrows and before I could defend myself Jahseh punched him making me move away.
The guy was trying to fight back, standing up so they were equal but he still hadn't got a good hit in before they broke them up.
"Come on" he told me, grabbing me by the hoodie so I barely had time to catch myself, just follow very sloppily behind him.
Once we got to the car I sat in silence. I don't know what to do when he's mad except leave him alone.
But I'm thinking, everybody knows about this. How?
"You don't owe no nigga no explanation Joey, I know you ain't do no foul shit and that's all that matters" he told me making me nod.
"But why does everybody know about that?" I asked making him sigh.
"Word of mouth I guess" he answered making me nod and then sigh.
"So everyone thinks I'm a hoe because I was at Bruno's?" I asked and he nodded making me huff and lay my head back.
"I don't like that" I sighed.
"I don't either but we know the truth so fuck them."
