~Erulisse~
My head bumped against something hard. I rubbed the spot as sunlight flooded into my eyes. I nearly jumped when I saw I was being carried above ground. I was tied to the back of one of the orcs. I knew struggling wouldn't help my case. The orc I was on stopped. Another approached me. I kept my eyes closed.
"She's good as dead."
I held my breath. Trying to indeed look dead. I thought that perhaps they would just drop me If I was dead and leave me. Then, I would find my way back to Legolas.
"Just leave the elf-filth. She won't last out here and she's no use to the master anymore if she's dead. Let her die in agony." My bonds were cut and I was dropped on my face but that helped me disguise the smile. The thumping feet continued and soon, vanished.
I inhaled sharply and bounced to my feet. Grass and rocks. That is all I could see. My head ached from the lack of water and hitting it on something hard. I rubbed my temples and tried to regain my composure.
"Okay, Grace, what do we do now?" I knew the Fellowship planned to approach Mordor from the North but surely Legolas was on his way. My best bet would be to head back in the direction I came from and try to find a village or something. I felt myself over. No broken bones. My ring was gone. The ring Legolas had given to me, was gone. Tears lept into my eyes. It was the most beautiful thing I had ever owned. I would figure that out later. I also had no weapons but the one dagger tied inside my leggings. I had no water or food but since I'm an elf, I had longer endurance without such things. "Okay God, Help me find him or him find me." Everything would be okay as soon as I found my husband. If I couldn't find him. I would head northeast to Mirkwood and wait for him at home. As much as I would hate it. However, my soul told me I would be okay.
The wind blew across the plain as I walked. My hair blew in the wind and kept me cool in the broad sunshine. I guess based on where I was I was in Rohan. No other lands had been described as being so open and grassy. I kept my head up and walked over the grassy floor.

The fire in my heart is what kept me from crashing into the earth and giving up. Aragorn lay with his ear pressed to the ground. "Their pace has quickened. They must have caught our scent." He stood and started running. "Hurry!"
"Come on Gimli, We're gaining on them!" I called back. Our trio sprinted across the plains. We came to a place covered in stone.
"Aye laddie!" Gimli cried as he picked something up. It was a gold ring with green stones. I took it from him. "Erulisse's ring." My heart ached. She would not easily lose this. Something horrible must have happened. I put it on the chain with mine
Aragorn bent to pick something up. One of the leaves from our cloaks.
"Not idly do the leave of Lorien fall."
"They may yet be alive."
"Less than a day ahead of us!" He started again. I heard a thud behind me, Gimli.
"Come Gimli, we're gaining on them!"
"I'm wasted on cross country. We dwarves are natural sprinters, very dangerous over short distances." I ran ahead and up onto the point of a rock.
"Rohan," Aragorn said. "There is something strange at work here. Something gives speed to these creatures. Set's its will against us." I ran down the hill and up to another point.
"Legolas, what do your elf-eyes see?"
"The Uruks turn northeast. They're taking them to Isengard!" My heart pounded. Why would Saurman want my wife? What power did she hold against him?
