Here's a little sneak peak into my plan for my next fic.
Allassiel is an orphan. She lives with her Uncle who is one of the Kings Council members, who abuses her. Legolas is a young child and he's getting a little bit out of hand being cared for by his nurse. The council advises King thranduil to find a wife or at least someone to take care of his son.
Well pondering this decision he goes for a walk in the forest and there he meets Allassiel. He falls in love. And luckily she's one of the girls brought to him as an option for a wife. Because of her trauma from being abused all these years she is distant from him and chooses to live apart from him while still caring for his son. She and Legolas become close as mother and son, which causes the king to fall more and more in love with her. One day there is a horrible attack and she takes Legolas and hides. When thranduil finds out they're missing he goes looking for them and when he finds them there's a very cute "I love you so much." Kiss scene. Then they live happily ever after....
Or something along those lines.
