Stolas was done. He put his foot down. After so many years of verbal and emotional abuse from Stella, he finally forced her to leave. To his surprise, she agreed to the divorce. Little did he know, this was far from over. They set up a meeting with the council for the following week. While packing her things, Stella pulled more strings behind the scenes. It paid to have connections. First, she hired the best assassin in the Pride Ring. His name was Striker. And even though he was an Imp, she was willing to overlook that with his impressive resume. Meanwhile, Stolas was planning father-daughter trips with Octavia. He was excited to spend some real time with her. He was also excited to have Blitzo over more often once Stella moved out, even though the terms and conditions of their affair only stated it would be monthly. But he was desperate to sleep with another man for no reason.

The following week Stolas and Stella stood before the Goetia elites. Each stated their case in detail. And by the end, the elites agreed to their request. Their divorce was final. But there was a catch-22 that nobody saw coming. That was, nobody expect Stella. The elites granted full custody of Octavia to Stella. But it was her decision. She was old enough, after all. Stolas gasped in horror. This wasn't happening. He tried to protest. But the look in his daughter told him that her mind was already made up. Octavia stood and went to her mother's side. Now she spoke up. She told everyone how she was being laughed at because of her father's affair with some other man. She detailed the countless times she had heard others whispering and laughing behind her back. And there was much more.

Stolas finally realized. This was all his fault. But it was too late now. Stella left the room. Octavia followed her mother. Their things were already packed. They were finally free of the shame and humiliation of being associated with someone like Stolas. He watched as Stella drove off. He went home with his head down. There was nothing he could do now. When he got home, Stolas called Blitzo and told him everything. Of course, he had better things to do than listen to his tool cry. Blitzo had only been sleeping with Stolas to use the Grimoire. It was all for his company. It was a matter of convenience. Stolas had been delusional to think they had anything. Blitzo cut the call short and hung up as a client walked into his office. He didn't have time for this. But the fact that the affair was over was a problem. However, he had a plan.

The next morning, Stolas woke to find his Grimoire missing from his shelf. He knew Blitzo had snuck in and stolen it. But he didn't care anymore. There was no point in anything after losing his daughter. All because he stooped so low as to sell the Grimoire for sex with some guy. Stella had been right. He was a pathetic excuse of a husband. If only he had listened to her. Stolas tried calling Blitzo, but he had blocked his number. But it was expected. Blitzo didn't need to use him for his company anymore.

The torment wasn't over. The Goetia elites called Stolas. They wanted the Grimoire back. Shaking, he refused to tell them. As much as he was hurting, he wasn't going to sell out Blitzo. He had to be strong. But the elites weren't happy with what little confidence he had during his time of heartbreak. They sent agents to his mansion just minutes later. They broke in. Two held Stolas down while the others tore the place apart while looking for the book. One of the servants told them about Blitzo. They had seen him sneak in and leave with the Grimoire. It was the only way to make them leave. And they did. The agents left Stolas on the floor and slammed the door behind them. Stella's words rang in his head. Shame he had never listened.
