Stella climbed out her bedroom window. She had a boy to meet in the park tonight. Luckily, it wasn't far. She made her way through the streets in the early twilight. Stella climbed the fence and hurried to the tree she had marked. Her secret date was already there waiting. His name was Striker, and he was an Imp. Stella ran up and hugged him. It wasn't often that they got time to meet secretly. Despite being children, both knew this strictly wasn't allowed, especially for her. The hierarchy of Hell was a cold and cruel mistress indeed. It was terrible. But that's how things worked down in Hell. Striker was happy to see his girl again after a month. They sat under the tree and talked about their families and lives at home.

Of course, it wasn't long before search parties looked for Stella and Striker. Her big brother Andrealphus and his father Jake were searching. After only half an hour, the kids' time was up. Naturally, it was chaos once they were found. Being from very different classes of demons, Andrealphus and Jake immediately had it out for one another. They pulled the kids away and were ready to start a fight. Thankfully, Stella was able to stop her brother with her trump card. He and Jake left with their younger likenesses in tow. Stella and Striker glanced at each other one last time over their shoulder. There was sadness in their eyes. But the demonic hierarchy had to be maintained without question. And that meant they could never join hands. At least...not until they were older and had power.

A note from the author: For convenience, I decided to give Striker's dad a name. This is in no way canon. I chose "Jake" because one inspiration for Striker was Jake the Snake from Paramount and Nickelodeon's 2011 animated movie Rango.
