Salvador Marcus looked at himself in the mirror. He was dead silent. The reflection that stared back was a complete lie. It wasn't what he was supposed to be. The sad truth was that he was infected with the T-Mutation. It was a cursed genetic defect that plagued his kind. It warped the body and twisted it so it didn't match their horns. Imps were proud demons, and their horns were a sign of identification. Women had thin, white rings decorating their horns. Men had thick white stripes adorning their horns. In short, this mutation changed the Imp's physiology, so their bodies didn't match their horns. It truly was a curse. The upper classes of Hell hated those unfortunate enough to suffer this tragedy on another level.

It was a shame that Salvador had to live like this. He was a man. His horns said it all. But the T-Mutation had ruined him. He decided to live on the ranch forever. Leaving would be too embarrassing. He didn't want to be mistaken for something he wasn't. Joe and Lin agreed. They understood. Salvador never showed himself in front of guests. He was only present around very trusted outsiders, like his brother-in-law Moxxie. Sometimes, Salvador didn't even know what he was anymore. He didn't feel normal. He didn't feel natural. And he hated the confusion. It was a constant struggle. What even was he? At times, he locked himself in his room and rarely came out for any reason.

So, this was how Salvador lived on. The humiliation was too much. Of course, it wasn't his fault. He had never asked to be infected. Neither had the other Imps with the T-Mutation. But the burden was too much for him. Salvador could barely look at himself in the mirror on some days. He kept a blanket draped over the mirror hanging on his wall. And the bathroom mirror was cracked from repeatedly punching it in self-hatred. It seemed like Salvador was doomed to suffer. And there was no cure to fix him.
