Nobody could believe it. But it was true. Angel Dust stood before the others of the hotel. A pair of pearl white wings stretched the length of the reception desk. A few delicate feathers floated to the marble floor. A shining halo radiated brilliantly above his head. It bathed the space around him in gold. Everyone was stunned. They knew he had been working hard to free himself from Hell. But they didn't know just how hard he had been trying. It had been a long journey for him. Angel opened his eyes to see his friends before him. He looked at himself. Charlie was the first to find her voice. She congratulated her head chef. Angel couldn't believe it. But it was true.

Outside, the skies opened. Three angels came through the opening. They had come for Angel to bring him to Heaven. He was one of them now. They let themselves in and called for him. As happy as Angel was, he hesitated. He couldn't just leave his friends and job. As patient as the angels were, they had work to do and couldn't stay long. Angel proposed that they come back. He had a lot to sort out. He could not leave the home he had known for so long after he died. The angels agreed and flew back to Heaven.

A month passed. And then another. Angel was very busy packing, saying goodbyes, taking care of loose ends, and celebrating. His last day in Hell came. Everyone was gathered to see him off with a big party. Even his family came, which was a real surprise. Angel had never expected them to show up, especially his father. The angels arrived as the party winded down. As busy as they were, they took up the offer to stay for a while. After all, a little fun wouldn't hurt. Angel said his final farewells and followed the angels to Heaven.
