Verosika was feeling great. She had just dumped her shellfish boyfriend, Blitzo. All he cared about was his little start-up company. And If he wanted to sleep around with some guy for it, fine. She wasn't going to play second to another guy. It was clear that Blitzo didn't appreciate her anymore. But that was fine too. Verosika gladly burned his things and kicked him out. She had forgiven him one too many times, and this was the last straw. She was done with him.

Only a week later, Verosika had company over. His name was Striker, the best assassin in the Pride Ring. She had partially invited him over for business. After discussing the details and payment, she made her move. Normally, Striker wouldn't let himself have a little extra fun with clients. It was strictly business. But something about this one hit him differently. After some time, it was clear that things were headed in a good direction. He had scored big time. Then there was the bonus of a new target on his list.

Days later, Striker was back with Verosika at her place, enjoying himself. This time, it was personal. He had no intentions of leaving until he hooked up. Of course, she knew this. And let him have his fun. Meanwhile, her Blitzo had come to talk. He was outside walking up to the front door when he stopped seeing the sight in the window. Before he could demand answers, Vortex caught him and kicked him off the property. Naturally, Verosika had her bodyguard on duty that night to make sure there weren't any interruptions. Her helpless ex was forced to go home to the crappy office building. It was what he deserved for betraying her for some guy.

As Blitzo drove back, he couldn't believe it. He knew Verosika moved fast in her relationships. But he didn't think she would be replaced so quickly. Now he knew how she had felt when he had cheated on her with some guy for his little company. Blitzo banged his head on the steering wheel in frustration. If only it had been another woman. If only it had been someone he had fallen in love with. But no. Blitzo lost a great woman, and a rich succubus at that, for the sake of his company. He had thrown it all away to sleep with some guy in shallow hopes of making his life easier. He was a joke. It always had been. The only time he had meant something was back when he was in the circus. Every demon had cheered his name. He was in the spotlight.

But not anymore. Blitzo had to face the facts. There was nothing for him now. It was over. He parked and dragged himself inside. His daughter Loona was enjoying a pizza and drinks while watching one of those crime dramas from the living world. Blitzo caught her scornful scowl and glare. She knew about him and his ex. She knew he had failed miserably. Blitzo hung his head in shame and dragged himself up the stairs. Loona turned back to her show with a final look of disgust. She didn't have to say anything anymore. He knew he had lost it all. And he knew he would never find another woman like Verosika. This was the end.
