Makin' a Deal, Makin' a Move

Two months had passed since Verosika had finally dumped Blitzo. She was sick of how shellfish he was. She was done with how obsessed he was with ensuring his company was successful. Of course, Verosika had understood how important I.M.P was to him. She had even helped him by giving him money once in a while. But when he had stooped to sleeping with another guy for his profits, that was where she drew the line. Verosika had kicked him out for good that day. She should have done it sooner. Of course, word rapidly spread because she was a famous pop icon. To make sure her fans weren't misinformed, she had called up Katie Killjoy from 666 News. Verosika knew she loved gossip and wouldn't pass up the opportunity for a juicy story. It was perfect. And it didn't take long after the live interview for everyone to know. Blitzo was already having trouble. This made it worse. But it served him right for abandoning her. That was his fault if he wanted to sleep around with some guy for his company.

Today, Verosika and her crew were on their way out of Ozzie's. Someone was patiently waiting near their van. He tipped his hat and introduced himself. His name was Striker, and he was an assassin. At first, Verosika ignored him. But she stopped when he mentioned that he knew about her history with Blitzo. He grinned, seeing that he had her attention, and handed her his business card. With that, he politely excused himself. Usually, he wasn't this professional. But first impressions were important, especially with potential future clients.

The next day Verosika was looking at the business card. Curiosity got the better of her, and she made the call. It only took one ring for Striker to pick up and thank her for calling. The two agreed to meet up and talk at his office. She picked up some drinks and was there within the hour. Verosika told him everything. Striker nodded and sipped his drink in silence. Then he explained. The guy Blitzo was cheaply sleeping with was a Goetia named Stolas. His wife Stella had been furious about his affair with another guy. She had come to Striker and immediately hired him to kill Stolas before the embarrassment spread too far. Of course, Striker had agreed. Verosika was surprised and almost choked on her drink. While waiting for her to process everything, he wrote Stella's number down and handed it over.

Soon, Verosika made a deal. She hired Striker to eliminate Blitzo. Her assassin grinned. And to make the deal sweeter, he offered to take her out to dinner in exchange for a discount. With this, they were partners, and the hunts were on. Verosika called Stella. She explained everything, and the two met at a high-end café.

Date night came, and Striker drove down to pick her up. Verosika was waiting on her porch and hopped on. As he drove into the city, he told her more. In truth, he was a fan of hers and her music. And it wasn't just because she was a succubus. Striker was also hoping for a long relationship with her. The incident with Blitzo had been the perfect opportunity to make a move on her. A bit surprised, she hesitated. Verosika wasn't ready for another serious relationship. Not after being thrown away for some guy. But this brazen assassin had a chance with her. And she decided to let him have it. As they rolled up to Hell Garden, they settled on a second date at Loo Loo Land next week. There was a more...adult area hidden in the very back.

Days passed. Then weeks and months. Striker and Verosika had grown closer. Eventually, they talked about living together as he worked. A few attempts had been made on Stolas and Blitzo. Unfortunately, they were still alive. But Striker was a patient man when it came to his job. He knew better than to rush things. Meanwhile, Verosika and Stella had become close friends. They talked about how terrible the men were for hours and never tired of it. One day, it happened. Of course, Stolas and Blitzo weren't missed. They were nothing but the worst, even below the level of an Imp for their affair. And Hell was finally free of a little more garbage.
