Charlie looked in the mirror. Reflected were a beautiful smile, rosy cheeks, and lovely golden locks. But behind all that was bloodstains and ripped clothes. She chuckled and started a bath. As for the clothes, she tossed them into her fireplace. Her fiancé Alastor wouldn't be home for another two hours. It was more than enough time to wash up, dispose of the body, and clean the crime scene. Charlie hummed idly as the water turned red. It was such a beautiful color. But sadly, it had to go. Her thoughts turned to dinner and what to cook tonight. Maybe even a movie to accompany the nice meal.

After bathing, it was back to work. The princess returned to her victim and grinned. She had debated on burning it, but she didn't want to waste her powers on someone like this. It was a shame that someone in her court had to die. But it had been the only permanent solution. Charlie dragged the female's body away. There were two things she would never allow. One was anyone coming onto her fiancé. She wouldn't let anyone stand in her way. Charlie might've forgiven her court member had she not known Alastor was engaged to her. But he was marrying the princess. Everyone knew. It wasn't leftovers in the fridge from two days ago. It was headline news. Charlie tied her hair up as she cleaned up the mess. Alastor belonged to her and her alone. The one good thing about all this was that he was loyal.

Alastor came home after his evening broadcast. The delicious smell of stew welcomed him. He smiled as Charlie greeted him and suggested they watch a movie while eating. It was a splendid idea. She already had everything prepared. Alastor excused himself to change and wash up. As he passed her, he saw something in her eyes. Maybe it was a flash of her inner demon. Perhaps it was a glint of exciting evil. Or it could've been his imagination. As Alastor ascended the winding staircase, he felt a chill followed by the faintest scent of blood. How thrilling.
