Alastor was a busy demon. Tonight, he was on his way to his beloved radio tower for another broadcast. He had a habit of stopping by a particular café along the way and pulling over. As a regular, a fresh pot of his favorite brew was always waiting. Alastor sat down and patiently waited to be noticed. Soon, a waitress hurried with his usual order and greeted him. With his trademark wide smile, he helped himself and sat with the newspaper. Just as he was about to leave, something caught his ear. Another customer was talking about one of his shows with her friends. Curious, he tuned in with his trusty radio staff. The young ladies had quite a bit to say. And as much as Alastor would've loved to continue eavesdropping, he had to leave. But not before he let a little bug crawl under their table.

The broadcast kicked off with a shoutout to the little café and personal recommendations from the demon himself. Then it was on to the show. First was interviews and a touch of gossip (not that Katie Killjoy could do anything about him getting juicy stories first). After a commercial break or two, it was onto news from the entertainment industries and old-fashioned music. As the evening waned, Alastor's radio staff relayed everything the other café patrons were saying. It was quite amusing to know that they were part of his grand audience. He listened in delight. And to have fun, he spontaneously decided to host a contest to test them. The main challenge was purposely rigged in their favor. Alastor did the typical one-lucky-random-caller bit. He knew they were tuned into his station.

As dusk fell, Alastor shut everything down and locked up. He gazed at his precious radio towed before driving back home to the castle. Luckily for his stomach, Charlie was making two kinds of jambalaya for dinner tonight, one with chicken and the other with shrimp. He sped down the highway and rushed in the door. Charlie smiled, seeing her husband. She quickly set the table. As they ate, he told her about the curious group of ladies at the café and how they were fans of his show. Alastor was thinking about inviting them as guests on his show. Charlie thought it was a great idea and supported him.

Soon, everything was set. Alastor's guests were sitting on a couch in his radio tower. He gave them headsets and gestured that it was time to start. Tonight's interviews were going to be a little different. Alastor didn't often invite fans to be part of the show. But something about these demons sparked his curiosity. He had to talk with them. On signal, the girls introduced themselves on air. It was pretty exciting, especially knowing how antisocial and asocial Alastor was. But this was different. They chatted for a good half hour. It was all about them. To his surprise, Alastor found their company delightful. During the commercial break, he offered them the chance to return. They happily accepted.

Some time passed, and Alastor was greatly pleased with the success of his show. Usually, he was local within the Pride Ring. However, the ladies he had met were from the Lust Ring and Wrath Ring. Apparently, they had been on a week-long vacation. Upon returning home, they had spread the word about his radio show. Alastor now had a greater audience. He even got calls from demons, and it was great for business. But that meant a more powerful signal. Of course, that wasn't an issue. Alastor made an announcement. He was going to take a break to renovate his tower and boost its signal so demons in other rings could tune in. About a month later, he was back on the air and ready to serve demonkind once again.
