It was time for another Extermination. Everyone was already inside. Like clockwork, the skies opened, and the Executioners descended. This year, however, things were a bit different. Usually, the death angels spread across Pentagram City. Instead, they came down on the more remote towns. And Imp City was on their list. Many citizens fell as they tore through the streets. Blitzo and his employees watched the massacre. This was the last straw. This was his building, his city. And he was going to be damned (as if demons weren't already) if he was going to let Heaven's feathery little freaks destroy all his hard work. He had finally made I.M.P something big and respected. But more than that, Blitzo wasn't about to let anyone touch his family.

By chance, Striker was in town today. He had just signed a deal with a client when the Executioners came. It surprised him as much as the next cursed demon. But he wasn't a civilian like everyone else. And he wasn't about to die. Without hesitation, he hit the gas and roared down the streets. Striker slammed the brakes in front of I.M.P's building. It was one of the few structurally sound places amidst poverty. He let himself in. And was greeted with Loona's primary firearm in his face. With a quick explanation, she cautiously let him into the lobby.

Blitzo thundered down the stairs. He was fully armed, which was rare. His eyes glowed. Moxxie and Millie were on his heels and equally prepared. Loona gave a quick rundown as to why her dad's enemy was in his building. Blitzo hated Striker with everything he had. But he also wasn't so stupid as to turn down an assassin and bounty hunter who killed his targets without fail. The two parties agreed to work together today. The living world had a saying: "The enemy of my enemy is my friend," and it couldn't be truer now. The Executioners were every demon's enemy. It was one of the very few things every demon in Hell could agree on. And today, Blitzo and Striker shook hands for the first time. This was war.

The Executioners were drawing near. The citizens of Imp City weren't as capable as those of Pentagram City. And the Executioners knew this. Maybe they just wanted easier experience points. Perhaps it was the faster kill count to help the overpopulation problem in Hell. Whatever the reason, Blitzo and Striker stepped outside as they came. Loona, Moxxie, and Millie quickly followed. It was quite the sight, minus all the screams. Blitzo aimed and fired at one of Executioner's wings. They fell with a shrill cry. He grinned, hearing the sounds of bones breaking. Striker snickered and racked up the next few kills. Soon, they had their attention.

Moxxie and Millie supported as their boss continued taking on one damned Executioner after another. For this fight, long-range weapons were the key. He was ready with his favorite shotgun and rifles. She had daggers on her hips and spears on her back. Loona held the Grimoire alongside her precious firearm and melee collection. She used many spells to keep the Executioners at bay while everyone else reloaded and took aim. It was fun. There were many spells they had never used. And the Executioners made great lab rats. Loona laughed, watching them burst into flames and get skewered.

Hours passed before the clocktower rang. The few remaining Executions fled. This had been an utter failure. So many of them had died. The five dropped their weapons and fell to the ground. They were exhausted. Blitzo gazed at the skies as they closed. This wasn't the end. The bastards came every year. Like everyone, he had been surprised when they had targeted Imp City. He knew if they came once, they would come again. And he wasn't about to let them get away with it. Moxxie was busy writing notes on the Executioners' various weapons. He knew they would have to be ready for next year. Millie bandaged herself up as she watched as well. As much as she loved a challenge, she remained wary. The Executioners weren't to be taken lightly. But for now, they were gone. And next time, Imp City would be ready.
