Two days had passed since Stella and Striker had met. He had been studying Stolas and gathering more information. Today, he was busy talking with his friends. Thanks to his hypnotic powers, Striker got more information than he had initially sought. It was great. By his calculations, he would be ready to start hunting Stolas next week. He couldn't wait. Striker called Stella to report in. He had a few of her husband's secrets. She loved the gossip and took mental notes of all the juicy details. It was rich.

As the next few days passed, Stella and Striker continued to talk. She began noticing something different about herself. It was something she had never felt. It manifested itself in migraines, chest pains, and more. While Stolas had never cared much for Stella because of her abuse, he couldn't ignore this. She hardly ever fell ill. In a rare moment of worry for her, he asked if he should consult a doctor. Hesitantly, she refused and merely asked for her favorite comfort food. Stolas cooked everything himself and even played her favorite music over the speaker system. For a moment, just a moment, things were back to how they once were. Stolas took care of her for a day. The next, Stella was back to normal (while still toning it down).

When Stella met with Striker next, she knew what that feeling was. Against all odds, she was starting to fall for him, an Imp. It was extremely confusing. To test the waters, Stella made a suggestive comment. Striker immediately shot her down. He was unequivocal that he was not some backup Plan B for her. Even though he could go far by dating an elite demon, he was a man of principles. One of those was "fuck the rich," and he lived by it. That was the one rule Striker had regarding working for Stella. Despite this, the two were growing closer in such a short time. The old flame had never died out. And now it was rekindling.
