Charlie couldn't believe what she was hearing. Her business partner and co-owner of her hotel had just backed out on their deal. Alastor hesitantly took a step back. He nervously laughed as he tried to explain further. Thankfully, Charlie smiled. She understood. If he didn't want to be part of the hotel anymore, that was his choice. She was fine with that. However, she wouldn't forgive him for how he had just dismissed himself. She had trusted him. They had worked too hard together. Admittedly, it had been difficult at times. But they had made a decent team over the past several months. Alastor had helped with marketing and brought in many demons, some of whom had become Charlie's patients. He had been a valuable asset to her.

But it was over now. Charlie asked him one last time if leaving was his final decision. Alastor, now will a little more confidence and less fear, reaffirmed his decree. The smile plastered on her face finally fell. So, this was it. This was what he wanted. Without a second, she struck him straight in the stomach. The sound of cracking bones echoed throughout the dimly lit lobby. She was done. The princess always gave second chances. She believed in the good of all demons. But not this time. Alastor had crossed the line. Charlie watched as he fell to the floor. Wasting time on those who turned their back on her was not an option. Her ambitions were too great to spend time with those who didn't stay by her side and help to see her visions through.

Charlie sat in her office. She picked up her phone. There was no time wasted in informing Vaggie, Niffy, and Husk. They didn't ask questions. None of them were that foolish. It was time for a new scheme to make the hotel excellent. But first, some things needed to change now that Alastor was no longer among them. First on the itinerary was a new marketing manager. Luckily, Charlie knew a demon or two looking for jobs. With a few more phone calls, she had their interviews scheduled.

Meanwhile, Alastor was not doing so hot. He dragged himself out the doors as quickly as his injuries would allow. He knew Charlie was going to be angry. But he had never expected her to lash out, even though it was only one strike. With the little strength he had at the moment, he opened a portal to his radio tower and collapsed on the sofa. He could feel his bones gradually repairing themselves. It hurt like, well, Hell. Alastor chuckled as he stared at the ceiling. Charlie was quite the woman. Hell would be in good hands when she was queen. As for him, he knew he wouldn't be welcome at the hotel anymore. But that was alright. Alastor had his reasons. None of which would be put into words.
