"Looks like Greyson and Kevin are here," I say as casually as I can parking in the driveway alongside their cars.
"You think I came too soon? Maybe I wasn't precise enough when I said now?" she asks and I can't help but smile at her.
"What?"
"Look at you, all nervous over a boy. Who knew that Mya Smith of all people would"—
—"Okayyy, I'm going inside now. And we never speak of this, ever. Got it?" she has that glint in her eyes that send shivers down your spine.
"Speak of what?" I nervously laugh.
"I knew I liked you for a reason," she softly smiled. "But I really am going inside now. Thank you again for this. I'm not going to take long."
"Just go already," I grinned.
The second she's inside I pull out my phone to message Greyson. Before I even get a word into the text bar there's a knock on my window scaring the shit out of me and my phone out of my hands.
I roll down the window anyway because how can I not when Kevin's infamous goofy grin is showcased right before my eyes. It's contagious, I swear.
"Sorry I scared you. I thought you saw me walk outside."
"No it's fine. It's fine. How've you been?"
"Things have pretty much been the same," he shrugs. "What about you anything interesting happened over the holiday break?"
"Hmm, my aunt came over."
"Saliva?" he gasped.
"Yup," I laugh at the nickname.
"Oo that must've been terrible. You seem to be in good spirits though. Love that for you hun," he smiles.
"Anyway I was just taking my leave. Didn't wanna be a fifth wheel so I'll see you on Monday."
"See you," I wave as he gets into his car and drives off. "Wait? Fifth wheel?" I mutter to myself.
I bend down to pick up my phone to finish what I started and text Greyson. The second my head's up again I realize the hard way that it's a bit too late for that.
"Hey princess," Greyson smiles leaning against my car with his arms folded against the window.
"Ahh— what the hell is up with everyone and appearing out of thin air? Is Jacob's door soundproof or something? And what are you doing here, what if we get caught?"
"By who? Kevin's gone and those two... Let's just say they'll be too busy to notice," he says leaning into my car and stealing a quick kiss.
"No fair," I pout.
I have no idea when I became such a baby.
"You're right it's not. I'll have to compensate with a date. Is that okay?"
"Yes. That would be appropriate."
"You're giving that fire hydrant over there a run for its money how red you are," he smiles.
I'm competing with the fire hydrant in more ways than one.
"You wore your hair in a bun today."
"Yeah," I say subconsciously touching it. It's been a while since I have out in public. Messy buns made me look like my old self so I steered cleared of them unless I was at home.
"I'm proud of you," he says kissing my forehead. "I really do have to get going though. My dad'll starve if i don't cook something."
The sudden memory of the pill bottles I found at his house come rushing in at the mention of his father.
"Oh he's home now?"
"He has been for a while now. Sorry I forgot to mention that," he scratches the back of his neck. I get this nagging feeling that he failed to mention it for a reason, but I let it go for now.
"Alright. Tell Mr. Reynolds I said hi."
"Will do. Text me when you get home safe," he says placing another quick kiss on the lips.
I pull him by his collar before he gets away because these pecks aren't enough. I press my lips against his and I can tell he's shocked but he doesn't hesitate to kiss me back.
I slip my tongue in his mouth and it tastes of popcorn. My hands eventually slip around his neck and I pull on the hair at the nape of it. My mouth softly vibrates when Greyson moans into it causing me to smile a little but that ends up breaking the kiss.
"Okay bye," I wave lightly panting from the intensity of the kiss.
"You can't"—
—"I can because Mya should be done anytime now and you were supposed to be gone ages ago."
"Alright. You win this time."
"Uh huh. Think of me when you take care of that will you?" I say pointing at the obvious bulge in his pants.
"You'd like that wouldn't you? You have a thing for me Greene?"
"In your dreams," I grin.
