Heyyyyyyy everyonneeeee so I took a little bit of a break! But I'm backkkkkk so enjoy this chapter, it's pretty short but the next one will be long and better

I brushed down my pants and fixed my jacket, I couldn't help the want of being perfect in front of this family. As I ran my hands down my hair I took in a deep breath. Knock Davina. Just knock.

I knocked three times and took a step away from the door, my teeth trapped my bottom lip roughly as I waited for the door to open. Essence, not a minute later, stood in front of me with a smile on her face and a spoon in her hand.

"Hey, I was just making pancakes, come in" she stepped aside and made room for me to walk by, I smiled and clasped my hands together while walking through the door. Without her, I walked to the kitchen and pressed my lips together.

"Vee!" Spear ran into my arms almost knocking the wind out of me, a chuckle escaped my mouth as I picked up his little body and held him against me.

"Hey buddy" Spears hands clasped my face as his lips smacked against my cheek. "How was your night?"

"It was so fun! We watched a movie and played games, we also-" the creak of the door behind me made my attention subside, Spears words faded and the dark presence behind me brought curiosity.

Emilio's face came into view as I turned around, to my surprise his eyes were already on me. He was dressed head to toe in a black suit, something that looked about the cost of my house.

I smiled tightly and quickly before turning back around and letting his presence not affect me. After the beach my mind became a endless train of thoughts. The biggest one being to not get close to this family. Sure I liked them. They were everything I wanted to be and more. But I wasn't one of them, and I never will be. Emilio intrigued me, I wanted to know more about him, which is exactly why I needed to take a step back.

"Woah, sounds like you had a lot of fun" I slid him off my hip and back on to the ground. While brushing down his clothes Spear smiled widely up at me.

"So much fun, can I come over more?" His puppy dog eyes became wider, I sighed and patted his head.

"You should go eat some food with Adriano and Angel bud" as if a switch of remembrance went off in his brain he ran back to the table to fill his face full of food.

"Emilio why haven't you left yet!? You're gonna be late" Essence walked into the kitchen in shock. I turned around to see her hitting him on the arm with the spoon she had. He stepped away rolling his eyes.

"I'm the boss. I can't be late" his tone was smug which earned a annoyed sigh from Essence. As if a punishment for his tone she smacked him once more before walking over to the stove.

"Shit they burned!" She exclaimed while flipping the dark coloured pancakes.

"Language" Killian grumbled as he walked in the kitchen. "Why does it smell like that" his nose scrunched up in disgust.

"Mom burned the food" Angel said in between laughs. Essence placed the burned pancakes on a plate and groaned, Killian snickered as he caught sight of the pancakes.

"Looks great" he cleared his throat while rubbing her shoulders. A smile spread onto my lips as I watched them interact. After failing to hold his laughs together Killian bursted out into a fit. Essence grabbed her spoon once and and started hitting Killian.

"Looks great huh? We'll enjoy your breakfast" she now pushed the plate of pancakes into his arms and turned away. As soon as it started, his laughs were gone.
