The smell of alcohol and cologne filled my nose as I sat squashed between two large men in the VIP section. It was a big space but because there were so many people it suddenly made me feel claustrophobic.

I stared at my hands that were interlocked in my lap. This was not what I had pictured my night to consist of especially since I had come to the decision of ignoring Emilio at all costs. My plan had been demolished as I was now sitting across from his body. Even though I wasn't staring at him I could feel his eyes burning into my face. My whole body heated up.

Natalia and Dalia stood in the middle with a few other girls dancing their heads off, they were clearly already drunk while I sat here sober as a rock. As I watched them dance my eyes involuntarily glance at Emilio and Bridget. He sat straight with his legs wide open. One hand on his drink and the other resting on his thigh. Bridget couldn't have been more obvious as she had her leg crossed towards him and kept brushing her hand against his arm which went unnoticed by him. I couldn't hear what she was saying but I could only imagine the flirtatious things that were coming out of her mouth. The conversation seemed to be one-sided as I haven't one seen his lips move or his face turns towards her. His eyes were locked onto mine while I stared Bridget down.

I didn't mind Bridget. She was pretty, confident and almost always nice, to me at least. She wasn't very humble but she knew how to make someone feel special even if it was fake. Caroline was often a victim of her false words.

While thinking about Bridget's many qualities it caused my eyes to narrow and my lips to purse, I looked at Emilio for a split second to see his lips turned up in a smirk. Great.

Bringing my attention away, I felt a tap on my right shoulder from the man sitting next to me. I looked at him questionably. "You seem bored," he said into my ear. I pressed my lips into a fine line and shrugged which caused him to chuckle. "You can talk to me you know."

"I'm not that good with conversations"  I yelled so that I didn't have to go closer to his face. He raised his brows not believing a thing I said before nodding.

"Come dance!" Dalia yelled and walked towards me with her hand out. My eyes widened as I leaned back away from her practically sinking in between the two men beside me. Please don't pull me up. I don't think I could dance with how Emilio was sitting there, no doubt he would be watching, and no doubt I'd be making a fool out of myself.

"Dal- no really I'm ok" I raised my hands and leaned so far that I almost got sucked into the two large men's arms. Dalia used my raised hands to her advantage and grabbed both of them. Fuck. "Dalia" I groaned as she yanked me onto my feet.

"I'm going to kill you" I gritted my teeth so hard that I thought they might break. Her body swayed as she pulled me to the middle of the VIP section we sat in. My head rolled back and a groan left my lips. Natalia saw me and started to squeal, shaking the drink in her hand. "Give me that" I grabbed the liquid courage and downed it straight.

My throat and chest started to burn as the drink went down. The taste was absolutely disgusting but I wanted more as I felt myself slightly at ease. It wasn't enough to make me calm though. The girls squealed even more and pushed me around to dance. Dalia grabbed the empty cub and placed it on a nearby table before grabbing my hand and twirling me.

"He's staring at you" she whispered in my ear, as she pulled back her eyebrows wiggled and her eyes filled with mischief. Her body started to move differently, the careless dancing she was doing all night turned into a full-blown seduction scheme.

"Dal" I scolded as she placed her hands on my hips to move them in an allurement manner that matched the beat of the song that blasted through my ear drums. With one hand she ruffled my hair and pinched my cheeks and before I knew it was turned with my back against her and my front facing Emilio. She was right. He was watching me like a hawk.
