"Look who it is!" I wave my hand like royalty when I enter the familiar bar and hear Natalia's shout.
"The one and only," I joke flipping my hair over my shoulder. She slides a drink towards someone on a stool before crossing the bar and coming towards me. She slows down halfway and scans me.
"What's wrong?" She says squinting her eyes. I roll mine and give her the most nonchalant shrug I could possibly give. Her posture changes when she crosses her arms.
"My mom's back." I sigh finally.
"And you didn't kick her out again because?" Her tone becomes tense just like her body language.
"My father died. Sickness apparently." I roll my eyes when I say this. Even though my heart drops at the mention of my father I power through it while staring past her at the alcohol. "I need a drink."
"Oh my god Davina." Her arms wrap around my body firmly. I close my eyes for a few seconds before pulling away and throwing on a smile. I had already gotten a two-hour vent with Dalia when I dropped Spear off, as good as it felt to rant I knew it felt better drinking my sorrows away.
"It's fine." I mumble out, "he was a dick anyways." I walk around her and sit down on a free stool. A familiar blue-haired boy smiles at me while grabbing a cup.
"Vee, I haven't seen you in so long, what will it be?" He asks turning to the side so I'm able to see some options. When I tell him my drink he makes it in less than a minute. I laugh out shocked.
"So he's a pro now?" I say taking a sip and to my surprise, it tastes even better than I could have ever made it.
"He is," he says referring to himself. I chuckle once again which brings a large smile to his face. "So what are you doing here?"
"I'm meeting someone for drinks." My elbows hit the counter as I covered my eyes with my palms. I regretted making the plans the moment I agreed to it.
Mark had called me that night asking if we were still on for drinks. Since he had made it seem like I already had said yes, and since Emilio had not a care in the world whether I went or not, I had nothing to lose. Plus I was in need of a drink.
"You're what?" Natalia walks along the bar so she's standing beside Elliot, She almost tripped from how fast she was walking which caused a snorted laugh to come from me.
"He's Spear's teacher" I find myself saying. I know just how crazy it is when I see both of their faces drop.
"Teacher?" Natalia raises a brow and when I nod again she leans forward. "Is he cute?" I roll my eyes into another large sip.
"He's ok, I don't really have much attraction towards him." When I say this all hope is lost in Natalia's face.
"So then why are you meeting for drinks?" Elliot asks.
Cause Emilio doesn't care if I do.
"He asked, and I needed a drink." I hold up my drink while saying this and then drown the rest of it.
"What happened with Mr. Big Money's businessman," her nickname for Emilio raises everyone's brows. "You know who I'm talking about" she scolds my confused look.
"He doesn't care." My face goes hard. When the door dings open it catches both of their attentions. Their eyes widen suddenly which causes me to turn and come face to face with Mark. "Mark, hi," I say standing up.
Mark's arms wrap around me before I can even process what's happening. I don't get a chance to hug him back before he sits down on the stool beside mine.
