"High five!" I chuckled with my paint-covered hand in the air. Spear smiled up at me before raising his messy blue hand and connecting it with mine. "Wait" I started to mesh our hands together in hopes of making a new colour.

"No way!" Spear gasped out as he saw our matching purple hands. I laughed at his reaction before stamping my hand on the paper in front of me. Spear followed my actions and started mixing all the paint on his paper together, eventually it turned an ugly brown colour.

"I love it, buddy," I said amazed at his Amateur work. He looked down at the paper with pride, he truly thought that it was a masterpiece. "I think this is fridge worthy." I started to get up, his eyes widened in joy.

I washed my hands clean before grabbing his paper and holding it up straight. "Magnificent, we'll hang it up when it dries" I placed it down on the counter along with my random mess of a paper.

"I like yours too" Spear hopped down with his hands up. Before he got anything dirty I picked him up and placed him beside the sink. I turned on the tap and held his waist so he could lean over to wash his hands without falling.

"Got off all the paint?" I asked as he straightened himself up. His dripping hands were all clean as he could get them but as I dried them with a paper towel the rest of the paint came off. "Perfect."

"I like when you're off," Spear said looking up at me with admiration. I sighed and ran my fingers through his soft hair. "I wish you didn't work."

"Well there's things I gotta buy, but once I save enough money I won't ever, ever, ever have to work again." His eyes filled with hope. Hope that only a child could own.

"Really?"

"Absolutely. Now, what do you think about a movie? We still have some leftover popcorn that we can microwave" I tickled his tummy so that I could see that smile once again. He leaned back with a deep giggle before nodding his head.

"Movie!" He yelled throwing his hands up.

"Movie!" I repeated after him.

Suddenly the doorbell rang confusing both of me and Spear. We looked at each other with raised brows before I lifted him off the counter and back to the floor. Instinctively I grabbed his hand and led him to the living. "Sit" I nudged my head to the couch.

Spear plopped down to the side closest to the door so that he could get a front row to view of who was there. I shook my head in amusement before opening the door.

Unexpectedly, Emilio stood in front of me with a straight face. If I wasn't confused before I sure am now.

"Emilio!" Spear said getting excited.

"Hi" Emilio's straight face suddenly morphed into a smile as he stared at Spear.

"What are you doing here?" I questioned completely going over greetings. Without a word, Emilio held up a stuffed animal that apparently was in his hands the whole time. Spear recognized the item first as he jumped off the couch and ran towards the object.

"Benny!" He grabbed the animal with such excitement and joy that it brought a smile to my face. I was under the impression he had lost the item at school or somewhere at the park completely looking past the fact that he spent the majority of his time at the Lorenzo's.  but why was Emilio bringing it by?

"Oh my god, we raided the whole house looking for him" I laughed looking at the flimsy thing. "Thanks for bringing it."

Emilio shrugged with a quirk of his lip, I had a feeling that his smile was bigger than he showed,
If only he'd let himself show full emotion. I could never tell how he felt. "Essence was busy so..." oh.
