The day of Buckbeak's scheduled execution came up, and I decided to act on my own. I hung out with Hagrid and Buckbeak for the day, the hippogriff finally accepting me more than he used to. The golden trio had come down to visit him as well, and we all left in a hurry when a rock flew into the room and hit Ron in the back of the head. I hid a smirk, realizing exactly what just happened.

We all exited out of the back door of the hut and hid under the cloak, which was too small for all four of us and our feet stood out, so we walked behind the pumpkins. I glanced behind us into the woods and spotted the glint of one of my glowing blades in the woods, and knew it was me who threw the rock earlier. Looks like I'm going to be time traveling here soon. The four of watch as Lucius, the Minister for Magic, Dumbledore, and a large man with an axe walk down the slopes to Hagrid's hut.

"Dobby." Harry breathes out next to me, but I had already spotted the tiny little house elf following his master, holding a giant roll of parchment nearly the size of his little body, and knew my plans just expanded. I had to save both the elf and the beast now, and I am confident I can do it.

We all leave the area once we hear them inside talking about killing Buckbeak, and I steer the younger kids away, giving the future me whatever opening I will need. I walk them up to the common room then, and ask Harry if I can borrow the cloak. He agrees, eyeing me skeptically but otherwise too sad to do anything else. I also grab Hermione as I walk up to the girls dorms, dragging her away with a firm grip.

"Abigail, what is going on?" Hermione asks in confusion as I'm pulling her up. "It's hardly the time for one of your pranks right now."

"Oh, I beg to differ. I think it's exactly time for one of my pranks." I say with a grin, emphasizing the word 'time'. She gives me a worried look, clutching at her necklace. "Now, give me a crash course on how to use that time turner you've been hiding around your neck and using secretly all year." I say confidently, and she gasps and blanches.

"How could you possibly have known that?" She yells in a whisper.

"Oh I've always known you've had it." I smirk at her. "Now, I'll need to borrow it and go back two hours, so just show me how to do that, thank you." I hold my hand out to her.

"What you going to do? There are dire consequences to messing with time." She says sternly, not handing it over.

"I'm going to save Buckbeak and a house elf." I tell her honestly. She still doesn't hand it over at that, so I roll my eyes at her stubbornness. "Alright fine, come with me then if you insist, but it's going to be fast paced and I won't slow down for you. And there will be flying." She blanches at the last part.

"Do we have to fly?" She squeaks out.

"Yes, we do." I say firmly.

"Fine. I'm coming with you, I can keep up." She says determinedly, and I nod approvingly at her and grin.

"Let's be off then, this should be well fun." I say happily, stepping to her side. "Oh wait, one thing first." I reach into my trunk and grab a spare sock I have that I long since lost the pair of over the year. I am determined to do some things by the book, so Dobby will be freed with a sock. "Ready." I throw the cloak over us both as she throws the chain over my neck and hers and then twists the turner two times, and together we travel back in time. We walk together out of the dorms, the sun is back up in the sky again and students are just getting back from dinner, giving us good cover to get out of the portrait hole without drawing suspicion.

"Where to first?" Hermione asks me quietly as I stop and pull out the map.

I activate the map and check it, and she looks over my shoulder to watch. "I'm looking for Lucius Malfoy, he's our first stop." I inform her, and she helps me look for him. He's walking towards campus now, and Draco appears to be waiting for him by the door.
