Chapter 6: A Chespins Tale!

"In the forest to Blight City, three days after last chapter"

Nash looks at his Pokémon and they look at him. Buck stands at camp fire with soup boiling over it, his Squirtle, Honedge, and Mankey looking at it. Carmin sits on a log with Fennekin in her lap, brushing its fur

Nash: Okay you three, we'll be in Blight City in four days, and we have to be ready for it. There's no telling if the battlefield will have anything like the Amber Gym had.

Buck: Which makes it harder to prepare a strategy.

Carmin: And since it's a Water Type Gym the Gym Leader may use a combination of Flying and Water Types.

Nash: We'll find a way.

Riolu: Rio?

Riolu looks around

Nash: You okay?

A Pin Missile gets fired through the bushes the hits th ground around everyone. Everyone yells and looks around

Carmin: What was that?!

Buck: That was a Pin Missile!

Nash: But where did it come from?!

A Chespin jumps out from the bushes and laughs at them

Carmin: A Chespin?

Buck: Is it wild?

Marshtomp and Riolu glare at Chespin. Chespin glares back with a small smirk

Beedrill: Drill

Beedrill uses Aerial Ace and flies to Chespin. Chespin used Vine Whip and grabs Beedrill by the arm and slams it into a tree. Beedrill slides down

Nash: It's strong.

Chespin jumps up high, and lands at the soup. Chespin drinks it all and runs off

Buck: It ate boiling soup! That was going to be part of our lunch!

Carmin: No!

Nash: Let's follow it. Beedrill return.

Nash gets Beedrill in its Pokéball, Riolu and Marshtomp run where Chespin went. Nash, Carmin, Fennekin, Buck, Squirtle, Honedge, and Mankey follow. They reach a log cabin and see an old lady sitting on a rocking chair

Nash: Excuse me, have you seen a Chespin?

Buck: We think it came through this way but we aren't certain.

Carmin: Please say you have seen it.

Old lady: It's been some time since I've had visitors. My name is Maggie.

Nash: I'm Nash. These are my Pokémon, Riolu and Marshtomp.

Riolu: Riol.

Marshtomp: Tomp.

Carmin: I'm Carmin, and this is Fennekin.

Fennekin: Kin.

Buck: Buck's the name. Squirtle, Honedge, and Mankey are my partners.

Maggie: You said you were looking for a Chespin. Did it eat your lunch?

Nash: So you do know it?

Maggie: Come inside. I'll prepare some sandwiches.

Maggie stands up and goes inside her cabin, Nash and the others step inside and sit at a wooden table as Maggie makes sandwiches

Buck: So what's with this Chespin?

Maggie: Chespin has always been a little adventurer. My husband and I found it as an egg a couple months ago, and absolutely loved my Henry. But when he passed away, Chespin decided to live outside but near by. Whenever it meets people it thinks are strong, it'll take their food.
