Chapter 3: Lumiose City Stubbornness!

"In Lumiose City"

Nash and Carmin walk on the sidewalk of the city, the sidewalks filled with people and their Pokémon. Riolu looks around with a smile on its face

Nash: Amber City is getting closer by the day. I can't wait!

Carmin: But you're going to need to catch more Pokémon. You only have Beedrill and Riolu and since the Amber City Gym is a Fire Type Gym, Beedrill won't be very useful.

Nash: We'll find a way to win. That's a promise.

Carmin: Well before we leave the city I want to see the Professor.

Nash: What for?

Carmin: To thank him for bringing the starter Pokémon to Aquacrode Town.

Nash: He brought them there?

Carmin: You think it's safe for kids to walk through Santalune Forest without a Pokémon?

Nash: Good point.

"At the Lumiose City Laboratory"

Nash and Carmin step inside. The building shakes

Nash: What was that?

Carmin: Follow me.

Carmin goes down a hallway and Nash follows. Carmin leads Nash to a battlefield and sees Shun and his Chespin battling Akio and his Chesnaught

Nash: It's Shun.

Riolu: Io.

Shun: Use Roll Out!

Chespin: Pin! Pin! Pin!

Chespin uses Roll Out and rolls to Chestnaught

Akio: Block it.

Chestnaught stops Chespin with its foot, and kicks it away. Chespin lays on its back

Shun: Aw man.

Nash: Hey! Been awhile!

Shun and Akio see Nash and Carmin

Shun: It's Nash.

Shun picks up Chespin and walks over to Nash

Carmin: Hey.

Shun: You're the girl who chose Fennekin right?

Carmin: That's right.

Akio and Chestnaught walk over

Akio: What do I owe the pleasure of a visit.

Nash looks at Akio and smiles

Nash: You're Akio! A retired member of the Master's Eight and currently a Legendary Trainer!

Akio: And you are?

Nash: I'm Nash Winters.

Akio: Oh that's right. I forgot Natsu had kids.

Akio scratches Riolu under its chin, Riolu squeals in joy

Carmin: Akio, we came by today so I can thank you for giving Fennekin to me.

Akio: It's my job to give Trainers their first Pokémon.

Nash: So Shun, why are you here?

Shun: I came to see Chestnaught actually. It is Chespins final evolved form.

Nash: Cool! So have you caught any Pokémon since Aquacrode Town?

Shun: Sure have.

Shun takes out two Pokéballs and opens them. A Fletchling and Bunnelby come out
