This is part 2 of "A Tale Of What The Future Holds"
I don't own any of the art used, gifs, or Pokémon.
The story just follows Nash Winters from the last chapter of the previous book.
Nash, Lucario, Buck and Carmin stand outside the Gym. Nash and Lucario grinning with their arms crossed
Carmin: Excited as always?
Nash: You bet I am. After this only two more badges. Let's go!
Buck: Well hold on do you have a strategy?
Nash: Not one bit.
Buck: I shouldn't be surprised.
Lucario goes to the door and opens it
Nash: It's time! Let's go!
Nash runs inside with Lucario, Carmin and Buck right behind them. They see a multiple rings in the air being held by balloons and perches for bird like Pokémon, along with some plat forms with a square shaped ditch
Carmin: There's not much room for Pokémon that can't fly.
Buck: You're gonna want to make a strategy before your battle even begins.
Nash: Nah. I'm good, don't need one.
A tall man walks into the room and stands on the other side of the ditch

Man: Welcome to the Kota City Gym. I'm the Gym Leader. Name's Preston, a pleasure to meet you all.
Nash: My name is Nash and I'm here to challenge you for my sixth Gym Badge.
Preston: Ah. So you're the kid who beat my little siblings before coming to the city. All right, I accept your challenge.
A Rotom Drone flies into the room
Rotom Drone: The rules for the Gym Battle are simple. Each side is allowed the use of three Pokémon, once all three Pokémon from either side is unable to continue, the battle will be over. In addition only the challenger may substitute Pokémon.
Nash: Sounds good to me.
Preston: Hope you're ready for my special field.
Preston snaps his fingers and more platforms appear on the field
Nash: So what's so special about the field?
Preston: I like to keep my opponents on their toes. All these platforms that just appeared will randomly disappear and return.
Nash: I see. Cool!
Rotom Drone: Gym Leader, please bring out your first Pokémon.
Preston: With pleasure. Rovempire touch the skies!
Preston throws a Pokéball and a Rovempire comes out
Rovempire: Pire!
Nash: Rovempire huh?
He aims his Rotom Phone at Rovempire who flies in a circle
