This is part 2 of "A Tale Of What The Future Holds"

The story just follows Nash Winters from the last chapter of the previous book.
Nash and Yuya walk along the sidewalk of Goldenrod City, Lucario to Nash's right with Scorbunny sitting between Lucario's ears.
Yuya: So this job is just dealing with some a bunch of Totodile, Croconaw, and Feraligatr?
Nash: Yup. Job is paying twenty thousand. So we get ten thousand each.
Yuya: How can a bunch of these Pokémon cause trouble?
Nash: No clue. The city has no clue why they're just wondering around. Lot of traffic jams going on and near accidents because they aren't looking before crossing the street.
They hear a whistle blowing run to the scene, seeing Officer Jenny controlling traffic
Yuya: Heya, Officer. What's the problem?
Officer Jenny: Take a look for yourself.
She points to an alley way and multiple Croconaw walk out of it in a single file line
Nash: They're all Croconaw!
Yuya aims his Rotom Phone at the Croconaw

Pokédex: Croconaw. The Big Jaw Pokémon. A Water Type, and the evolved form of Totodile. Once it bites down, it won’t let go until it loses its fangs. New fangs quickly grow into place.
Yuya: So, where are they all off to?
Officer Jenny: You must be the kids who accepted the job request in Paldea. The Mayor sent out a notice to me and all the other officers. We'd be following them ourselves but we've been heavily short staffed. I wish you luck.
Officer Jenny hops on a motorcycle and drives away. Scorbunny looks back into the alley way the Croconaw came out of and runs towards it
Nash: Hey Scorbunny wait up!
They follow Scorbunny into the alley way and find a manhole cover moved to the side, and a Croconaw headbutting a brick wall
Yuya: They came out of the sewer. No way am I getting in there. I say we just follow this one.
Nash: Good idea.
Croconaw: Cro!
Croconaw keeps headbutting the wall
Yuya: Looks like it wants to go over the wall.
Nash: That's an easy fix. Wereyena, let's go!
Nash lets Wereyena out and it howls
Yuya: Huh?
Nash: Help Croconaw over the wall please.
Yuya: Wait what? No.
Nash: Huh?
Yuya: We're here to find out why all these Pokémon are just wondering. We can't stop to help just one who can't climb, otherwise we'll be here all day.
