Chapter 28: Snowbelle City Gym Battle!

*At the Pokémon Center in Snowbelle City*

Nash stands at the front desk wearing his regular outfit, Lucario by his side and waiting for Nurse Joy to come back, Asuka walks over

Asuka: So you excited for your match?

Nash: Of course I am. It's last our Gym Battle and then Kalos League.

Carmin and Buck walk over

Buck: You still planning on using Pupitar?

Carmin: Cuz you may wanna reconsider using Charizard or Lucario instead.

Nash: Nope! I'm sure we'll win with a type disadvantage. Just you wait and see, this will be our easiest win yet.

Asuka: This was my hardest battle. I should've challenged them after I defeated your mom.

Nurse Joy comes out of the other room carrying three Pokéballs

Nash: Thank you.

Nurse Joy: Good luck.

They leave the Pokémon Center and start walking to the gym

Buck: So there's no chance you won't reconsider the Pokémon you'll be using?

Nash: Would you guys stop worrying already?

Asuka: Yeah knowing you, everyone has to worry about you.

They approach the gym doors and Nash opens them, walking down the halls with everyone to the battlefield covered in ice

Carmin: It's all ice.

Buck: Well it is an Ice Type Gym after all.

???: So, what brings you to my gym, travelers?

A man wearing a red heavy puffer jacket, black snow pants and boots is seen sitting in a chair of ice with green hair and blue eyes

Nash: My name is Nash, and I'm here for my Eighth Gym Badge.

???: I'm Fuyuko, the Gym Leader. Your friends can watch from the balcony. The rules of my gym are simple, we will each use three Pokémon, only you will be allowed to substitute your Pokémon.

Nash: And once all three from either side are unable to continue the battle is over. Let's do this!

A Rotom Drone flies into the gym and over the battlefield

Fuyuko: I'll be sure to make your eighth gym battle a fun one.

Nash: Thanks.

Asuka, Carmin, and Buck head to a balcony and watch the field

Rotom Drone: Please bring out your first Pokémon! Three! Two! One!

Nash and Fuyuko: Let's go!

They throw Pokéballs, Frogadier comes out on Nash's side and a Beartic comes out on Fuyuko's side

Rotom Drone: Battle start!

Nash: Use Water Pulse!

Frogadier makes a sphere of water and throws it at Beartic

Fuyuko: Use Ice Beam!

Beartic uses Ice Beam and freezes the Water Pulse. The frozen sphere hits the floor and shatters

Nash: Okay then, use Cut!

Frogadier runs to Beartic with a white blade and swings at it

Fuyuko: Use Shadow Claw!

Beartic uses Shadow Claw and blocks Cut then knocks Frogadier away

Nash: Frogadier return for now.

Nash gets Frogadier in it's Pokéball and throws a new one, Zoroark comes out howling
