Chapter 17: The Mega Island Evolution Challenge!

*At the docks of Shalour City. Nash looks at his Pokémon and has his arms crossed. Diana and her Lucario stand on a speed boat waiting for him to get a move on*

Nash: You serious about this? I can only bring three Pokémon for this challenge?

Diana: That's right. And if all three are defeated by the Pokémon on that island, you fail the challenge. However you can use the Pokémon you catch on the island.

Nash: I see. All right then, we'll need some speed, so Zangoose get on board.

Zangoose smiles and jumps on the boat

Nash: Marshtomp, you're coming too incase we find any Water Types.

Marshtomp grins and gets on the ship as well

Diana: So who will be the third you take? Riolu, Chestnaught, or Froakie?

Those three all give Nash a begging look

Nash: Well of course I gotta take Riolu with me.

Riolu howls and jumps onto Nash's shoulder

Nash: We'll find a Lucarionite and a Swampertite while we're there.

Diana: All right then.

Buck and Carmin walk over with Tina

Buck: We'll keep an eye on Chestnaught and Froakie.

Nash: Thank you. We'll see you guys later.

Carmin: Be careful over there.

Nash: Yeah, yeah.

Nash jumps on the ship and Diana starts the boats engine and it begins to leave the port. Nash and his Pokémon wave to the others as they get further away

Diana: You are nothing like your brother.

Nash: Wait what?

Diana: You're Luka's little brother right? You aren't anything like him.

Nash: Oh that's right! Last time I saw Luka he had the Rumble Badge. What was your battle with him like?

Nash sits down on the boats floor with his Pokémon as they look at her

Diana: He used only Fighting Types. Urshifu, Blaziken, and an Infernape.

Nash: An Infernape? I guess he has more then the Pokémon I saw him with.

Diana thinks back to her battle with Luka

*Flashback*

Luka: Infernape! Mach Punch!

Infernape roars and its fists glow white. Luka roars as well

Diana: Lucario! Bullet Punch!

Mega Lucario howls with glowing fists

Luka: Now Ultimate Move: Burning Fist!

Infernapes fists engulf in blue fire and it runs to Mega Lucario who also starts running. Mega Lucario punches Inferno in the face and Infernape punches Mega Lucario in the stomach, fire coats Mega Lucario's body and it falls down going back to normal

*End of flashback*

Diana: Your brother is also Galars champion. He won with an ultimate move in the finals of the Galar Leauge, and in his battle against me. He earned the nickname "Burning Fist Luka."

Nash: Cool! I can't believe he didn't tell me he was the champion! That's so unfair!

Diana: I don't think he cares about his title all that much. It looks like he just wants to become stronger.
