Nash, Buck, and Carmin step out of the Pokémon Center in Amber City
Nash: Now to find the Gym.
Buck: Wait you don't know where it is?
Carmin: I don't he think he knows where anything is.
Nash: I know where things are.
Carmin: You got lost in Santalune Forest.
Nash: True.
Carmin goes on her phone
Carmin: Follow me.
Carmin goes left, Nash and Buck follow her
"Outside the Amber Gym"
Carmin: And here we are.
Nash: Yes!
Riolu jumps down from Nash's shoulder and holds its arms up with a smile
Riolu: Olu! Olu!
The door opens automatically and they step inside. They see a battlefield with metal circles in lines on it
Buck: It's so hot in here.
Carmin: Yeah.
Carmin takes off her heavy sweatshirt is seen with a black tank top with a red heart on it
Nash: I don't think I've ever seen you take off your jacket.
Buck: I'm surprised she hasn't taken it off until now.
Carmin: Shut up.
Nash: Hey! I want a Gym battle!
A woman steps out from a backroom

???: And who challenges me?
Nash: My name is Nash. I want to battle you for my second Gym Badge.
Riolu: Rio!
???: I see a nice fire in your eyes. You're on. I'm Opal, the Gym Leader.
A Rotom Drone flies in and hovers over the field. The Rotom Drone has a flame pattern on its body
Rotom Drone: Welcome to the Amber City Gym.
Opal and Nash take their places, Riolu next to Nash. Carmin and Buck watch from a spectator viewing spot
Rotom Drone: Each side is allowed to use two Pokémon, and only the challenger is allowed to substitute Pokémon. The battle will be over when two Pokémon on either side are unable to continue. Gym Leader Opal, please bring out your Pokémon.
