This is part 2 of "A Tale Of What The Future Holds"

The story just follows Nash Winters from the last chapter of the previous book.
Nash, Carmin, Buck, and Riolu look up the giant tree that acts as the gyms battlefield at the top, the word "closed for repairs" at the stairs to reach the top
Nash: No! Come on!
Carmin: That's a shame.
Buck: But look on the bright side. This gives you more time to train.
Nash: Yeah, I guess so. But I was really looking forward to this.
"At the Pokémon Center Battlefield"
Nash and his Pokémon do stretches. Buck, and Carmin watch
Buck: You'd think he'd be loud when he does stretches.
Carmin: I know right? A little weird.
A boy steps outside from the Pokémon Center
???: Yo! Nash!
Nash turns around and sees Shun
Nash: It's Shun!
Buck: Who?
Carmin: A friend of Nash.
Carmin and Buck go over to Shun. Nash and his Pokémon go to Shun as well
Nash: It's been awhile.
Shun: Yeah. I see you caught some more Pokémon, and your Mudkip has evolved.
Nash: Sure have, they're really strong. We're gonna keep winning all the way to the top!
Buck: Aren't you going ti introduce me?
Nash: Oh right, sorry. Shun this Buck, he's traveling with me and Carmin until he beats me in a battle. Buck, this is Shun. One of my best friends when we were little.
Shun: Nice to meet you.
Buck: Same goes to you.
Buck and Shun shake hands, then let go
Shun: So have you guys entered the Tag Battle Tournament?
Carmin: The what?
Nash: Tournament?
Buck: I didn't know there was a tournament being held in this city.
Shun: Well there is. I'm entering so I can get stronger to battle at the Shalour Gym.
Nash: In that case I'll enter to get stronger for my Coumarine Gym Battle. This is gonna rock!
"At the Coumarine City Arena"
