This is part 2 of "A Tale Of What The Future Holds"
I don't own any of the art used, gifs, or Pokémon.
The story just follows Nash Winters from the last chapter of the previous book.
Nash and Riolu run down the street with Carmin and Buck behind them taking deep breaths with each step
Buck: C'mon man. Not everyone has your stamina!
Carmin: Yeah, please let us rest!
Nash: No way! I want to get my third badge as soon as possible then move onto the next!
They arrive at the gyms doors. Buck and Carmin stop and take deeper breaths
Buck: So who are you going to use for this battle?
Nash: Well Chespin obviously.
Carmin: And who else?
Nash: No clue.
Carmin: Oh come on.
Buck: Guess we shouldn't be surprised.
Riolu chuckles. They all walk inside the gym and see a large pool with wood circles floating in it
Carmin: This must be the battlefield.
Buck: I've never seen anything like it.
Nash: Hey! I want a Gym Battle!
Bubbles form in the water and a man swims out of the pool
???: So you wish to challenge me?
Nash: Yeah. This is for my third Gym Badge. I'm Nash.
???: I see. I am the Blight City Gym Leader, Chen.

Nash: Hope you're ready to lose.
Nash and Riolu take the spot opposite of Chen. Buck and Carmin walk to some spectator seats and sit down. A blue Rotom Drone with bubble stickers flies in
Rotom Drone: Welcome to the Blight City Gym! The rules are that each side is allowed the use of three Pokémon, and only the challenger may substitute Pokémon. The battle will be over when all three Pokémon from either side are unable to continue.
Nash: That's fine with me.
Chen: Agreed.
Rotom Drone: Very well. The Gym Leader will show their first Pokémon then the challenger.
Chen takes a Dive Ball out of his pocket
Chen: You're up, Crawdaunt!
Chen throws the Dive Ball, a Crawdaunt comes out and floats in the water
Crawdaunt: Craw!
Nash: A Crawdaunt. All right then.
Nash takes a Pokéball out of his pocket
Nash: Marshtomp, I'm choosing you!
Nash throws the Pokéball and Marshtomp comes out in the air
