"On the trail, a few miles away from Coumarine City"

Nash walks Riolu on his shoulder, Carmin, and Buck walk along side them on a dirt trail with the forest on one side, and a shallow river on the other

Nash: I'm so psyched!

Riolu: Olu! Olu!

Carmin: You're always psyched.

Nash: Yeah but I'm really, really psyched! Once we get a Mega Stone and a Keystone we'll beat Chase! Then Damien! Then Luka!

Buck: So which of your Pokémon do you plan on Mega Evolving?

Nash: Haven't thought of that yet.

Carmin: Mega Lucario, Mega Beedrill, Mega Swampert. All three sound really strong.

Nash: Yeah. Once we get the stones, we're gonna become stronger, really, really strong.

Beedrill comes out of its Pokéball

Beedrill: Drill!

Nash: Beedrill? What's the matter?

Beedrill flies over the shallow river and into the forest

Nash: Beedrill!

Riolu: Olu!

Nash chases after Beedrill

Carmin: Buck, let's go!

Buck: Right!

Carmin and Buck run after them

Beedrill dodges the trees, as does Nash, Buck and Carmin nearly dodge them. They arrive at a ridge that faces the ocean, Beedrill looks at the sea

Nash: Whoa.

Carmin: It's beautiful.

Buck looks at his Rotom Phone

Buck: We're a little off course but we can always walk back to the trail.

Nash walks up to Beedrill

Nash: So you just wanted to see the ocean?

Beedrill looks up

Carmin: What's it looking at?

They all look up and see many Beedrill

Nash: Cool! Look at them all!

Buck: I get it now! It's mating season for Beedrill!

Carmin: Aw. It's adorable!

Nash: Mating season?

Buck: It means finding love.

Nash: Love?!

Beedrill flies up the rest and flies backwards while keeping eye contact with a green Beedrill. The green Beedrill looks away from Nash's and makes it sad

Carmin: Ouch.

Buck: Yeah.

Nash's Beedrill jabs the air, the green Beedrill flies away

Nash: C'mon Beedrill! You'll find someone!

Beedrill goes after the green Beedrill and flies in a circle around it

Nash: What's it doing?

Buck: I think that's its mating dance.

Carmin: Aww.

The green Beedrill slaps Nash's Beedrill with its wing. Nash's Beedrill's eyes water and it flies down to Nash

Buck: I guess it really likes the green one.
