Chapter 18: A Mega Gym Battle!

*At the Pokémon Center two days after last chapter. Nash sits at a phone booth which is displaying his mothers face*

Nash: Are the Pokémon I sent over to you behaving? Zangoose is a little wild, Pupitar will probably just sleep all day, and I don't know about Grovyle.

Alex: Yes they're behaving, and Zangoose has just been sleeping on the couch, the only problem it's giving me is the fur it leaves on the couch. Pupitar has been sunbathing in my garden. Grovyle is just training with Lizzie.

Nash: Well at least they're okay. And make sure Grovyle doesn't go all out.

Alex: I know. So what else have you possibly forgotten to tell me?

Nash: Oh right! This!

Lucario gets next to Nash and smiles

Alex: It evolved! Congratulations!

Nash: Thank you. Gotta go train, bye!

Nash goes to press the end call button

Alex: Hold it!

Nash freezes for a moment

Nash: Yeah?

Alex: Good luck with your gym battle, love you.

Nash: You too bye!

Nash hangs up then he and Lucario run outside to the battlefield of the Pokémon Center and see Swampert, Charmeleon, Froakie, and Chestnaught doing push ups. Lucario gets next to Swampert on the floor and also does push ups, Carmin and Buck watch them

Buck: They're all really excited.

Carmin: Well Swampert and Lucario are getting their Mega Stones today. Same for Charmeleon.

Nash: Grovyle, and Pupitar too. We're gonna win that battle, become even stronger, and then win the Kalos Leauge. I'm so psyched! Hahahaha! C'mon everyone! Time for our next win!

Nash's Pokémon stand up and howl. Nash gets everyone but Lucario in their Pokéballs

Carmin: You ready to go?

Nash: You bet I am! C'mon!

Nash and Lucario start running to the gym, Buck and Carmin close behind

Carmin: At least give us a warning before you start running!

Buck: Yeah! We don't have endless energy like you!

Nash: I'm to excited to not have energy! Hahahaha!

Lucario: [Howls]

They approach the door of the gym, Nash and Lucario start knocking on it

Nash: Hey! Diana I'm here for our Gym Battle!

Carmin: Quit yelling!

The doors open and Diana and her Lucario are seen on the other side

Diana: Enough with the knocking!

Nash: Sorry. Is everything ready?

Diana: Yes. The Mega Stones are ready. Follow me to my workshop.

Diana and her Lucario start walking up a spiral staircase, Nash and the others follow her and eventually get to a workshop room. On the table is a black scarf with the Lucarionite attached to it, a large armband with the Swampertite embedded into it, a red scarf with the Sceptilite attached to it, a chain rope with the Charizardite X in it, and lastly a large ring with the Tyranitarite in it

Nash: Whoa! These look so cool!

Diana: The chain necklace won't fit on Charmeleon until it evolves. The ring with the Tyranitarite will fit Pupitars tail, once it evolves into a Tyranitar.
